USC at Michigan Odds, Predictions, and Our Best Bet

Week 4 of college football is here and one of the top matchups is USC at Michigan! Our preview includes odds, predictions, and our best bet. Enjoy the action and best of luck with all of your wagers!

Trojans Still Riding High After 2-0 Start

The Trojans have moved up to #11 in the national polls after beginning their season 2-0. They kicked things off with a solid win over then #13 LSU in the opener.

Miller Moss threw for 378 yards and a touchdown in that contest while Woody Marks picked up 68 yards and 2 touchdowns. They added to the win total last week with an easy 48-0 win over visiting Utah State.

Marks went over 100 and a score while Moss continued his efficient passing by completing 70% in the game. Both of these guys will have to have big performances for USC to cover this point spread.

Is Michigan in Rebuilding Mode?

While the Wolverines are still ranked in the top 20, things have been shaky for the defending national champions. After an uneasy opening win over Fresno State where the defense bailed them out late, they were unable to keep pace with now #1 Texas in the big house, losing 31-12.

Last week, they snuck out a 28-18 win over unranked Arkansas State and since that game, coach Moore has made a change at QB. Davis Warren has been replaced by Alex Orji, who many had expected to start the season.

While Donovan Edwards has not lived up to expectations on the ground, Kalel Mullings has picked up the slack by accumulating 270 on 36 carries to this point.

Best Bet: Michigan +6

Here, the Trojans will get their 1st taste of Big 10 football as it will be their 1st conference game since joining this season. As uneasy as things have been for Michigan, we believe their smash-mouth style will throw USC off kilter and allow the Wolverines to keep this one close.

The change at QB should give the Wolverines a boost and allow the offense to open a bit more. We would not be surprised if Michigan steals this one and should be inside the number for sure.
