Oklahoma vs Alabama Predictions 3 Player Props

The NCAA schedule-makers did fans a lot of good for this weekend, as there are a lot of amazing games on the slate. One of those fantastic contests is the matchup between Oklahoma and Alabama, the 11th and 4th-ranked teams, respectively.

We’re looking forward to this one, as Alabama is a 6.5-point favorite. With an over/under of just 45.5 points, this could be a defensive battle that comes down to the wire. Let’s get into our top Underdog player props from this one to make it a bit more exciting!

Ty Simpson OVER 272.5 Passing Yards

Ty Simpson has been an absolute beast all season, and he’s been one of the best passers in college football to this point. Oklahoma has a tough passing defense, of course, but we don’t think they’re going to hold him back from having a 273+ yard passing performance.

Simpson isn’t afraid to sling the rock all over the field, and if this game is close at all, look for him to soar over his line in the process.

John Mateer UNDER 213.5 Passing Yards

John Mateer has also had a solid season to this point but hasn’t put up the best yards against some of the better opponents Oklahoma has faced. For instance, he had 223 yards against Ole Miss, and 159 against Tennessee on November 1st.

We’re more confident in Alabama’s staunch passing defense than in Mateer’s ability to put up a big game, so we’re fading his passing total. Oklahoma could have more luck on the ground, which we’ll talk about below, but could see some struggles from their passing attack.

Xavier Robinson OVER 45.5 Rushing Yards

Xavier Robinson has had three straight weeks of impressive outings. Robinson had 58 rushing yards against South Carolina, 109 against Ole Miss, and 115 against Tennessee.

He’s on a roll, and while Alabama has a solid defense all around, we think that their approach against Mateer will allow Robinson to have more rushing yards than one might expect. Look for him to have lots of success early, hopefully going over this rushing total by the end of the third quarter.
