The College Football season is finally here! Week 0 was a great teaser last week, but now we’re diving into all of the action, which starts on Thursday night. There are a ton of fantastic games on the slate this week, and we couldn’t possibly write about each of them.
With that said, we’ve taken a look at Underdog’s prop offering from some of the best matchups, picking and choosing our favorites. We’ll keep the week going with the best props in the battle between Notre Dame and Miami.
With Notre Dame being ranked sixth and Miami tenth, this one will have a lot of eyeballs on it, along with plenty of media coverage. Let’s get into it!
CJ Carr OVER 184.5 Passing Yards
CJ Carr has been handed the keys to Notre Dame’s offense as a freshman, the first freshman to start for this storied organization since 2010. Tommy Rees started four games that season, but it seems like the team is much more tied to Carr and is excited about his outlook.
While freshmen don’t typically light the world on fire in the first game of their collegiate career, we’re cautiously optimistic about Carr and what he’ll be able to do in this one. Look for Carr to eclipse the 185-yard mark here, making his mark from the jump.
Carson Beck UNDER 235.5 Passing Yards
We were shocked to see how high Carson Beck’s passing yardage line was in this game, especially since Notre Dame allowed the fourth-fewest yards per contest in 2024. Beck did have nine games last year with 236+ passing yards.
That stat might be a cause for concern for some bettors, but we’re choosing to believe that Notre Dame’s defense is going to shut him down. They’re known for having a fantastic defense each season, which should continue this year, showing up and showing out from the jump.
Jeremiyah Love OVER 80.5 Rushing Yards
Jeremiyah Love had the 30th-most yards of any rusher during the 2024 collegiate season, and there are plenty of reasons to believe he’ll find himself in a similar situation this year, if not improve on that performance.
While Notre Dame will be led by freshman QB CJ Carr, someone that we’re high on heading into the season, there’s plenty of room for Love to have an awesome year. He should have plenty of rushing lanes given Notre Dame’s solid offensive line, and his experience lends itself to having a strong start to the season, having at least 81 rushing yards in this one.
