Week 9 of the College Football season is officially here, and there are a ton of great games on the slate! Three games are between ranked opponents, and there are several others that could provide some fireworks and excitement for college football fans.

While we’ll likely tune into several games this weekend, we’ve narrowed our Underdog player prop efforts to a few key matchups. One of those is the game between No. 15-ranked Missouri and No. 10-ranked Vanderbilt.

Vandy is a 2.5-point favorite at home, an indication that oddsmakers believe this could be a close one. With that in mind, let’s waste no time and get right into our favorite picks!

Diego Pavia UNDER 213.5 Passing Yards

We’re not sure why this line is as high as it is, but we’ll certainly take the under in this spot for Diego Pavia. Pavia is having a fantastic season for Vanderbilt, leading them to their 6-1 record, but his passing numbers haven’t necessarily been the story.

Instead, Pavia is a rushing machine and already has 438 rushing yards on the season. He’s a competent passer, of course, but considering Missouri is a top 20 passing defense this year, we’re fading his total in this game. He might not even sniff 175 passing yards, which puts us in a great spot to hit the under at 213.5.

Beau Pribula OVER 199.5 Passing Yards

If you just look at Beau Pribula’s raw numbers, you might be surprised to see that we’re taking the over on his passing yards. After all, Pribula has only achieved 200+ passing yards in four games, and he doesn’t have the greatest resume in this respect.

However, Vanderbilt’s passing defense has been leaky all season, allowing a staggering 245.5 yards per game. This is the perfect opportunity for Pribula to get back on track and have a big game, so we’re riding with him to hit the 200-yard mark.

Ahmad Hardy UNDER 84.5 Rushing Yards

Vanderbilt’s passing defense might leave a lot to be desired, but its rushing defense is top-notch. They’re allowing just 99.5 rushing yards per game, the 16th-best mark in the country, which is bad news for Ahmad Hardy.

Hardy has had an up-and-down season for Mizzou, and while he showcased a high ceiling with a 250-yard performance against Louisiana, he has had two straight games with less than 60 yards. We expect that slow trend to continue against a staunch defense, so we’re fading his rushing total as a result.
