LSU vs. Clemson Predictions 3 Player Props for August 30

The College Football season is finally here! Week 0 was a great teaser last week, but now we’re diving into all of the action, which starts on Thursday night. There are a ton of fantastic games on the slate this week, and we couldn’t possibly write about each of them.

With that said, we’ve taken a look at Underdog’s prop offering from some of the best matchups, picking and choosing our favorites. We’ll keep the week going with the best props in the battle between LSU and Clemson.

With LSU being ranked ninth and Clemson fourth, this one will have a lot of eyeballs on it, along with plenty of media coverage. Let’s get into it!

Cade Klubnik OVER 261.5 Passing Yards

This game is going to be awesome, and it starts with two spectacular quarterbacks. Cade Klubnik is one of the Heisman favorites, and we project him to have a great start to the year in this game.

He was among the nation’s best last season, and this matchup is the perfect opportunity for him to start a potential Heisman campaign with a bang. LSU allowed over 230 passing yards per game in 2024, and considering Klubnik’s ceiling, we’re more than confident in taking the over on his passing yardage total.

Some quarterbacks have rust in the first game of the season, but a veteran like Klubnik shouldn’t have that problem.

Garrett Nussmeier OVER 286.5 Passing Yards

Garrett Nussmeier, like Klubnik, is one of the Heisman front-runners, so college football fans will be treated to an A+ QB matchup in the first week of the season. Nussmeier had better passing stats than Klubnik last season, throwing for over 4,000 yards and 29 touchdowns, and it looks like he’s on track to do that again.

LSU seems to be a wide receiver factory, and even though they’ve lost some great talents in recent seasons, they should have plenty of weapons to help support Nussmeier’s potential Heisman campaign. He had 300+ yards in eight different games last year, so hitting 287 shouldn’t be an issue in this one.

Caden Durham UNDER 62.5 Rushing Yards

Caden Durham played well last season for LSU, having five different games with at least 80 yards on the ground. He was the perfect complement to Nussmeier, giving him more time in the pocket, being a constant threat to break out for massive runs.

While we like his outlook for the 2025 campaign as a whole, we’re not excited about the over on his rushing total in this game. It’ll be too much of a passing battle between the two Heisman hopefuls for him to have enough opportunities, so we’re riding with his under in this spot.
