James Madison vs Oregon 3 Player Prop Predictions

The College Football Playoff is officially here! The 12-team format that people clamored for had its debut last season, and the early rounds were mostly filled with blowouts and games that weren’t that exciting. That could be the case again this year, but we’re excited to watch most of them play out and see if there will be any upsets.

While there could be a few upsets this weekend, we’re pretty confident that this game won’t be one of them, as Oregon is a 20.5-point favorite over Oregon. Anything can happen, of course, but Oregon has been so dominant all season that we can’t imagine a world where JMU wins this one, let alone makes it close.

With a blowout likely on the horizon, let’s get into our favorite Underdog player props from this one, hoping to sweep the board!

Alonza Barnett UNDER 141.5 Passing Yards

The under on Alonza Barnett’s passing line is our favorite of any prop for the first round of the College Football Playoff. Oregon has the second-best passing defense in the country, allowing just 139.5 yards per game.

Facing off against them is a massive undertaking for the best quarterbacks in the country, and we’re not expecting Barnett to have the type of necessary firepower to be the one to take them down through the air. JMU hasn’t faced a ranked opponent yet, and we’re thinking the lights will be too bright for Barnett to have a big game.

Dante Moore OVER 237.5 Passing Yards

After raving about Oregon’s fantastic defense, you’re probably thinking that we’re going to use the same logic for JMU’s defense, which is also one of the best in the country.

However, you really have to take that with a grain of salt, considering they haven’t played any ranked opponents, and they certainly haven’t faced off against a quarterback like Dante Moore. He and his teammates should have a field day in this matchup and shouldn’t have any problems hitting the over on this line of 237.5.

Kenyon Sadiq OVER 55.5 Receiving Yards

After we took the over on Moore’s passing line, it was only fitting to pair him with a receiving option, and it didn’t take long to focus in on Kenyon Sadiq. Sadiq has the second-most receiving yards on the team after Malik Benson but does lead the team in receptions.

As a big-bodied tight end, Sadiq will have plenty of opportunities near the line of scrimmage or less than 10 yards down the field, where he should get plenty of yards after the catch. Don’t overthink him in this spot.
