The biggest game of the college football weekend will kick off in Knoxville on Saturday when the No. 6-ranked Georgia Bulldogs (2-0) face the No.15-ranked Tennessee Volunteers (2-0) in an SEC matchup.
This will be Georgia quarterback Gunner Stockton’s second big-time college football game. After starting last year’s playoff loss against Notre Dame, he’ll enter this contest with a 2-1 record thanks to wins over Marshall and Austin Peay.
On the opposite sidelines, senior quarterback Joey Aguilar has significantly more experience as a starter. After two seasons leading Appalachian State, he led the Volunteers to wins over a tougher-than-expected Syracuse and East Tennessee State.

Tennessee Volunteers QB Joey Aguilar OVER 201.5 Passing Yards
Aguilar enters this contest with 15 wins as a college football starter. In two games for the Volunteers, he’s completed 66 percent of his passes for 535 yards, five touchdowns, and no interceptions. His workload was reduced against East Tennessee in the Volunteers’ 72-17 win.
In their two wins, the Volunteers have amassed 505 rushing yards. That 250-plus per game average will take a hit against the Bulldogs. Expect Aguilar to be forced into throwing the football to move the chains, and he’ll easily surpass the 200-yard mark in Saturday’s contest.
Georgia Bulldogs RB Nate Frazier OVER 59.5 Rushing Yards
Sophomore Nate Frazier could become the Bulldogs’ next running back playing on Sundays. The 5-foot-10 beast has 25 carries for 116 yards and two scores thus far, but blowout wins have allowed Georgia to use other players instead of steadily feeding Frazier the football.
Syracuse showed that Tennessee’s defense will yield rushing yards. The Orange averaged 3.5 yards per rushing attempt from their non-quarterback runners, netting 130 total rushing yards against the Volunteers.
Georgia’s offense will look to do the same and balance its offensive attack. Expect Frazier to be the beneficiary on Saturday, allowing the sophomore to cover his rushing prop bet.
Georgia Bulldogs WR Colbie Young OVER 39.5 Receiving Yards
After a ho-hum season-opening performance against Marshall, senior wide receiver Colbie Young had a strong outing last week. The 6-foot-3 receiver nabbed seven catches for 76 yards, showing he’ll be a move-the-sticks possession receiver for Georgia.
Although Tennessee cleaned up its defense in last week’s victory, the Volunteers have allowed 441 passing yards through two outings. Expect Georgia’s Stockton to throw a lot in this game, making Young a strong bet to surpass his 39.5-yard receiving prop.

Personally, taking the underdog is usually an indication that oddsmakers have overestimated the spread. Long-time readers know that I rarely call for upsets, especially when it comes to the Bulldogs. This game merits such an instance.
By Georgia standards, the Bulldogs’ defensive line looks pedestrian. Although they’ve limited two weaker opponents to just 13 points, the defense has only two sacks entering this game. Tennessee’s line looks to be up to the challenge. Take the Volunteers to pull out a narrow victory over Georgia on Saturday.
