If you’re a college football fan, this is the most exciting time of year for you. Bowl season is rapidly approaching, and teams are making their final pushes to be one of the first teams in the inaugural 12-team playoff.
Bowl participants will be announced this Sunday, and we will finally find out who will make the big dance, making this weekend one to remember.
Before these participants are announced, there are a lot of important games going on, including all of the major conference championships. We’ve put together our favorite player props from each game, so stay tuned for all of the exciting plays!
We’re going to break down the ACC Championship below. Let’s get into our favorite Underdog props for this game between Clemson and SMU!
We’re all over the passing yardage props on both quarterbacks in this game. The over/under is set at 55.5 points for a reason, and we believe this has the makings of a shootout.
Cade Klubnik had a poor game against Georgia to start the season, but he’s bounced back ever since. He threw for 280 against South Carolina last week, giving us confidence that he can throw for at least 250 against SMU, a team that struggles to defend the pass. Look for Klubnik to have a monster performance in the ACC Championship to hopefully strengthen Clemson’s resume to the committee.
Kevin Jennings might not be a household name at the moment, but he should be after this performance. Jennings has done well against ranked opponents so far this season, logging 281 yards against Louisville and 306 yards against Pitt. He comes to play against some of the best teams in the country, and don’t doubt his ability to put up some serious yards against Clemson as well. Look for Jennings to play his part in the shootout, also hitting the over on his passing yardage prop.
We are confident in a few pass-catchers to have big games but are the most confident in Key-Shawn Smith to hit the over on his yardage prop. Smith has been a great companion for Jennings this year, also playing well against ranked opponents. With 53 yards against Louisville and 89 against Pitt, he shouldn’t have a problem hitting 46 against Clemson, especially in a must-win game!
