LSU is now ranked 16th after losing their opener to USC and heads into South Carolina to take on the 2-0 Gamecocks. Brian Kelly’s squad fell once again to begin a season as they blew a 17-13 4th quarter lead to USC. The Tigers could not slow down the passing attack of USC as the Trojans racked up 378 yards through the air while holding the Tigers to just 5/13 on 3rd down.
The following week, LSU took their frustrations out on Nicholls State. After heading into the half ahead 23-14, the Tigers used a 21-7 3rd quarter to pick up the 44-21 victory. Garrett Nussmeier threw for over 300 yards and 6 touchdowns in the win.
South Carolina opened the season with a hard-fought 23-19 win over visiting Old Dominion. They forced 4 turnovers and used 174 yards on the ground to lead them to victory. Raheim Sanders went for 88 yards while Lanorris Sellers added another 68 yards, all on the ground in the win.
In game two, they went to the road to face Kentucky as almost double-digit underdogs. They held Kentucky to 3/14 on 3rd down and only 44 yards passing. The Gamecocks pulled away in the 2nd half by outscoring Kentucky 21-0 to take the 31-6 win.

Ole Miss Rebels | -3.5 (-112) | -160 | O 62.5 (-105) |
LSU Tigers | +3.5 (-115) | +140 | U 62 (-110) |
The South Carolina defense has been good against the pass and that is what LSU will be trying to do in this matchup.
We love the way Shane Beamer has rallied this team early in the season and believe they will stand up to the task of facing this LSU team at Williams-Brice Stadium, early Saturday afternoon.
Key Betting Trends for LSU vs South Carolina
The Tulane Green Wave will be facing a ranked opponent for the 2nd straight week. Last Saturday, they took on Kansas State at home and held a 27-20 lead in the 4th quarter before fumbling away their final drive. Their fumble with 8:30 left to play was returned for a touchdown and was the difference in the game as they lost 34-27. In their previous game, they defeated the weak Southeastern Louisiana Lions 52-0. Now, as they head into Norman, they will need to be even more on point than they were against KSU and will need to shake off the late mistake that cost them a shot at winning the game.
Oklahoma faced arguably the worst team in FBS in week one when they faced Temple. They walked away with a 51-3 win and moved on to face a dangerous Houston team. The Sooner offense was atrocious against Houston and only accumulated 75 yards on the ground and 174 yards through the air. They were lucky that their defense stepped up and forced 2 turnovers to help them to a 16-12 win that left many in Oklahoma fearing that this team is not what they expected to see.
Saturday, October 12 at 3:30 PM | Spread | Money | Total |
Texas Longhorns | -14.5 (-112) | -650 | O 49 (-110) |
Oklahoma Sooners | +14.5 (-112) | +500 | U 48.5 (-110) |
Oklahoma opened as a 19-point favored but it has since been bet down to under 14 with almost 90% of the public bets coming in on Tulane. We believe this line has dropped to far down and Oklahoma will put up a much better effort here at home once again.
We do not believe Tulane is going to bounce back from losing the way they did last week. We are going to fade the heavy public here and go with the Sooners.
Key Betting Trends for Tulane vs Oklahoma
The #24 Boston College Eagles travel to Columbia, Missouri to face the hosting #6 Missouri Tigers on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles rode the high from their week one upset over then #10 Florida State into week two where they faced a much weaker Duquesne team.
They dismantled Duquesne 56-0. They racked up over 550 total yards while giving up just 135 total yards. In the previous game, against Florida State, the run game was featured. BC ran for 263 yards on the ground and held FSU to just 3/14 on 3rd down and just 21 yards of their own on the ground.
The Tigers have been nearly perfect through their 1st two games of the season. They handed Murray State a 51-0 beating and followed that up with a 38-0 victory over Buffalo in week two. Through their two games, Missouri has allowed only 254 total yards of offense.
Their offense has not been slacking either as they have combined for 1,007 total yards in the two wins. Brady Cook is completing over 71% of his passes and had rushed for 3 touchdowns on just 9 carries to this point. Receiver Theo Wease Jr has caught 16 balls for 179 yards but is still searching for the endzone.
Saturday, October 12 at 12:00 PM | Spread | Money | Total |
Missouri Tigers | -27.5 (-113) | -4500 | O 54.5 (-110) |
UMass Minutemen | +27.5 (-110) | +1700 | U 54.5 (-110) |
While the Tigers have yet to allow a single point this season, we believe the Eagles will be able to get their ground game going. They have been averaging 284.5 yards per game through their two games.
While the Missouri defense will be much tougher than what they faced, they should be able to do enough to stay in this game late into the 4th quarter.
Key Betting Trends for BC vs Mizzou
Oregon, #9 in the country, has had a very underwhelming start to the 2024-2025 season. As a near 50-point favorite, they struggled in week one at home against the visiting Idaho Vandals.
It was only a 3-point game with under 10 minutes to play before Dillon Gabriel hit Tez Johnson to put the Ducks up for good 24-14. This past Saturday, Oregon hosted Boise State as 17.5-point favorites.
There, they trailed 20-14 at half and after taking a 27-20 lead going into the 4th, they allowed back-to-back Ashton Jeanty rushing touchdowns to allow Boise to take back the lead. Luckily for Oregon, Noah Whittington took back the next kickoff to tie things up at 34 and then Atticus Sappington booted the game-winning field goal with just 2 seconds remaining.
Oregon State failed to cover as 4 touchdown favorites against Idaho State in week one when they won 38-15. The Beavers were able to pile up over 360 yards on the ground in that win.
In week two, they went to San Diego State to take on the Aztecs as just under a touchdown favorite. The ground game was strong once again and put up 237 yards and held the Aztecs to just 2/12 on 3rd down and under 75 rushing yards. The Beavers shut out San Diego State by the final of 21-0.
Saturday, October 12 at 7:30 PM | Spread | Money | Total |
Ohio State Buckeyes | -3.5 (-102) | -148 | O 54.5 (-105) |
Oregon Ducks | +3.5 (-120) | +140 | U 53.5 (-109) |
Boise State was able to compile over 220 yards on the ground and nearly pulled off the upset over this Oregon team last week. Now, the Ducks face one of the best rushing teams early in the season with in-state rival Oregon State.
Beaver stadium should be rocking Saturday afternoon and the 16.5 points that Oregon is giving up is going to be too many. We believe the Beavers will be able to continue their strong rushing attack to win time of possession and keep things close enough to cover the spread.
