The Week 12 college football slate gives us 4 matchups that feature Top 25 teams squaring off against each other. Utah will head to Arizona to face an upstart Wildcats squad. SEC East rivals Georgia and Tennessee will do battle in Knoxville.
Other top games include Kansas State at Kansas and Washington at Oregon State. We've dug into the entire schedule and found 3 college football best bets for Week 12. Check them out below!
The Utes are fresh off a 35-28 loss to undefeated Washington last week on the road and now head back on the road to face #17 Arizona. The Wildcats won a barn burner last week on the road in Colorado 34-31.
If this one was at home for Utah, we would lean that way heavily, however, this is yet another road test where they have had issues. While Utah’s defense has been praised, they are allowing almost the same amount per game as this Arizona defense.
On the offensive end, Noah Fifita and his main targets Tetairoa McMillan and Jacob Cowing, have the advantage over what the Utes bring to the table offensively. Cats get this one at home and put an end to the Utah season, essentially.
Key Betting Trends for Utah Utes at Arizona Wildcats
#1 Georgia passed yet another test last week when smashed Ole Miss 52-17 at home. Kendall Milton and Daijun Edwards combined for 186 yards and 4 touchdowns on the ground. Tennessee was on the other end of a beating last week when Missouri handed them a 36-7 loss in Missouri.
The run game for the Vols was nearly non-existent and led by QB Joe Milton III and his measly 36 yards. This will be the 4th ranked opponent that Georgia will have faced this season. The difference between this matchup and the 3 others is that this one will be on the road.
The Bulldogs have struggled to cover the number on the highway this season. We still expect Carson Beck and company to pick up the win but will not be able to cover the number here.
Key Betting Trends for Georgia at Tennessee
The #5 Huskies knocked off #18 Utah last week 35-28, a week after defeating #20 USC. Their signature win came over #8 Oregon back in mid-October. They have their eyes sternly set on the Pac 12 title and a possible CFB playoff berth.
They will need to get by #11 Oregon State this week to keep those hopes alive. The Beavers dismantled Stanford last week 62-17. They have wins over #10 Utah and #18 UCLA this season at home. They get a chance to play spoiler and keep an outside chance at playing for the Pac 12 title alive.
We believe the run game of Oregon State is going to be the difference in this one. The ability to control the clock with the run and keep the explosive Washington offense off the field will lead the Beavs to victory.
