2024 College Football Preview 4 Season Win Totals to Consider Betting

College Football is BACK!....well SOON to be back! Week 1 begins next week and I could not be more excited for another year of college football.

While I normally target props and dabble with some game lines, this article I dove into the team win category. I believe all of these are going to be sweaty bets, but I am excited to get this season rolling!

Notre Dames Returns to Top?

I am pretty high on this Notre Dame squad this season, specifically for its schedule combined with their returning and added talents. Adding possibly one of the more polished quarterbacks the Irish have seen in years could be a wonderful addition to their always stout defense.

I see 9 likely wins on the Irish schedule, and with 10 wins, you are only allowed 2 losses. This means Notre Dame will need to beat either Texas A&M, Florida State, or USC to find 10 wins. I believe Notre Dame, if healthy, has a chance to run the table! I certainly think they will beat USC on the road, and I do like their chances at home vs Florida St.

Playing at Kyle Field will be tricky opening the schedule, but I also think the Irish can pull off a win in that game to shock the bookmakers. If they get that first win at Texas A&M, watch out!

Oklahoma State Returning Country's Best RB!

Look I am all in on everything Ollie Gordon II. This man broke out onto the scene last year to win the Doak Walker and Earl Campbell awards, along with being a unanimous All-American and Big-12 offensive player of the year. He has a great shot at repeating each of those this season!

With the Cowboys returning Alan Bowman, a solid and experienced quarterback, along with his top 2 weapons on the outside, and returning 10 defensive starters, I just don’t see how this team doesn’t contend in the Big12.

Outside of their back-to-back games hosting Utah and at Kansas St, this team has a chance to win 10, at least 9 games.

Alabama at Plus Money?

I understand the change of guard is going to have some lingering effects in this program, but I trust new head coach Kalen DeBoer to keep this program right where it's always been! My main reason backing this is their schedule, and question marks for the teams they face. I am backing Bama to find 10 wins here.

They have a 3 week stretch, at Tennessee, host Missouri, at LSU, where they will have to win 2 of these, and I think they can. Outside of Georgia, I don’t see a clear guaranteed loss. Yes they have some tough games, but every team they play has question marks in certain areas.

Both LSU and Oklahoma have new quarterbacks. Tennessee has an unproven rising star at QB, and we will see what Missouri can do at Bama. Jalen Milroe can give this offense stability and playmaking, which I see being useful down the stretch in every game. They will be in a lot of close games this season!

Missouri Has a Good Chance to Be Great!

I am taking these odds and not thinking a second about it. This team was spectacular last season, and even though they lost Cody Schrader, I expect the passing game to take another leap! Brady Cook and Luther Burden III may be my favorite 1-2 combination in CFB. These guys are electric!

Missouri finished 11-2 last season behind Cook’s 3,317 passing yards, 1,212 of those going to Burden. The Tigers also return other familiar faces on offense Wease Jr, Cooper, and Norfleet. They will have to replace Schrader and beef up their offensive line, but this offense can carry them to 10 wins.

Missouri may have the easiest schedule in the SEC this season. Going to Texas A&M and Alabama will be by far their two toughest games, lose those two, win the rest, we cash the + money play. I don’t see another threat on their schedule unless they drop a home game to Auburn or Oklahoma, give me the plus money!

My Best Future Bets:
Notre Dame o10 Wins (-115) DraftKings
Oklahoma St o8 Wins (-130) DraftKings
Alabama o9.5 Wins (+120) DraftKings
Missouri o9.5 Wins (+135) DraftKings
