Best Bet to Make Playoffs: Alabama Crimson Tide

The Tide missed out on the playoffs last season and if anything is for sure, it is that Nick Saban will be hell bent on getting back in this season. Bryce Young and Will Anderson Jr. are gone, and everyone is speculating the worst for the Tide.

We love this spot for Saban and company as he will get to use the “underdog” mentality to motivate his squad. While the QB position is up in the air, it could benefit them as it will force the Tide to get back to a run heavy offense under new O-Coordinator Tommy Rees.

Best Value to Make Playoffs: Oklahoma Sooners

The Sooners lost 5 games by 1 score last season. Brent Venables will be in his 2nd year and the ageless Dillon Gabriel is back behind center.

They will have a strong rushing attack once again and they hit the transfer portal hard to sure up things on the defense. The value at 7 to 1 makes it easy to pull the trigger on a solid future ticket here.

Best Bet to Win National Title: Michigan Wolverines

JJ McCarthy and Blake Corum have the Wolverines in a position they have not been in quite a while offensively. Both men could be in the conversation for the Heisman this season.

The defense will once again be one of the best in the country and with a bit of a watered down Big 10, Michigan could easily make another appearance in the playoff and this time capitalize on their experience.

Best Value to Win National Title: USC Trojans

Caleb Williams will be back and while the Heisman was nice last season, he is chopping at the bit to get into the playoff and make a title run. Lincoln Riley has a loaded offense surrounding Williams and needs just a slight improvement from the defense in order to be a true contender. This is our favorite future ticket of the year.

Heisman Best Bet: Caleb Williams

We just have no reason to believe that Williams cannot get the job done again this season. He did it last year without even making the playoff. If Williams can add that to his resume this season, he could be undeniable for a 2nd year of holding the trophy.

Heisman Best Value: Michael Penix Jr.

Penix was on a Heisman caliber run last year before things fell apart. He is in the Pac 12, where defense is optional in most games and that should provide him with plenty of opportunities to create a Heisman moment or two.

Heisman Best Long-Shot: Jalen Milroe

Milroe is likely to be the starter for Bama this season. While he does not possess the type of passing ability that Bryce Young was known for, he makes up for it with his elusiveness and speed. If Bama does make a run, Milroe at 80 to 1 could be a great value ticket.
