St Johns vs UConn: 3 Player Prop Predictions for Wednesday, February 25

St Johns vs UConn 3 Player Prop Predictions (February 25)

We’ve reached something of a weird time in the sports calendar. There’s no NFL action going on, and MLB is about a month from starting its season. We’re in the thick of the NBA and NHL seasons, as both are now back from the All-Star Break/the Olympics, and there are only a few more weeks until March Madness kicks off.

College basketball seems to be the hottest sport at the moment, so we’re diving into it for tonight’s slate. There are a lot of awesome games taking place this evening, but we’ve focused on the matchup between No. 15 St. John’s and No. 6 UConn. Uconn are 5.5-point favorites at home, but as we all know, anything can happen. Let’s waste no time and get into it!

Solo Ball UNDER 3.5 Rebounds

Solo Ball has been UConn’s top scorer this year, averaging 14.2 points per game. UConn has five players who average at least 10 points, which is the sign of a well-balanced team heading into the Tournament.

While Ball has been a consistent scoring threat, he doesn’t rack up massive numbers off the glass, evidenced by his averaging 3.5 boards per game. We’re not confident in him to have over four in this matchup, either, especially since he’s gone under that number in six straight matchups against St. John’s.

Eric Reibe OVER 9.5 Points, Rebounds & Assists

Eric Reibe isn’t a typical starter for UConn, averaging just 15.9 minutes per game. While he might not get a lot of time on the court, he’s still a productive player when he’s out there, averaging 7.1 points, 4 rebounds, and .6 assists per game. He’s had at least 10 PRA in eight straight home games, a trend we’d like to see him continue in this hard-fought matchup.

Dillon Mitchell UNDER 7.5 Points

Dillon Mitchell and the rest of his St. John’s teammates have their work cut out for them tonight. UConn has one of the best defenses in the country, allowing the 18th-fewest points per game.

Mitchell is struggling enough as it is, scoring 8 or fewer points in five of his past six games, and that, paired with the tough matchup, is reason enough for us to fade him here. He did put up 15 against UConn earlier this month, but he also shot the lights out in that game at 77.8%, something that he’s not likely to repeat.
