Purdue vs UConn 4 Player Props We Love for National Title Game

Who knew this year’s March Madness Tournament would end with two No.1 seeds competing for the title? This year seemed to have the same amount, if not more, upsets that it has in recent history, making for yet another year of madness.

With that in mind, we’re excited for tonight’s game, even if it does contain two of the top seeds. We’ve studied the board and put together our favorite player props for the action, all of which can be found on Underdog. Let’s sweep the board on the final night of college basketball for the year!.

Zach Edey OVER 12.5 Rebounds

It’s no secret that Zach Edey has a tough matchup tonight, especially as it pertains to the rebounding category. Donovan Clingan is no joke, and he’s poised to do anything possible to get in Edey’s way and to make it as hard as possible for him to gain any traction.

However, Edey does have a few inches on Clingan, giving him a slight edge in that regard. We like his chances of achieving 13 boards throughout this tough matchup, even if it takes him most of the game.

Fletcher Loyer OVER 9.5 Points

If Clingan shuts down Edey’s scoring as many people project, somebody is going to have to put up points for Purdue. Who better than Fletcher Loyer? Loyer has scored at least 10 points in all but one of Purdue’s March Madness games, an indication of how consistent he is.

Loyer is a big three-point threat for Purdue, and if he knocks down a few shots for this team down the stretch tonight, he should have no problem reaching double-digits.

Stephon Castle OVER 4.5 Rebounds

UConn is a tough team to evaluate since they have so many solid players on their roster. Anybody on this roster can have a big game at a moment’s notice, but there are some predictable trends that help our analysis ahead of this game.

Stephon Castle can score when called upon, but UConn has really started to utilize him as a rebounder. He’s had at least five rebounds in four of his last five games, but that one game without 5+ rebounds was in a blowout against Illinois.

We have liked Castle’s athleticism and hustle to this point in the Tournament and are excited to see what he can do on the glass against Purdue.

Tristen Newton OVER 15.5 Points

Even though UConn has a ton of great players, they would not have been where they are without Tristen Newton. Newton has been a consistent scorer for this team all season, and he continues to be a beast for UConn in all facets of his game.

They have relied on Newton’s scoring to this point, so we’re expecting another big night from their star player.
