Kentucky vs Florida: 3 Player Props and Best Bet for Saturday, February 14

Love may be in the air on Valentine’s Day, but fans are expecting some good, old-fashioned hatred when the No. 25-ranked Kentucky Wildcats (17-7, 8-3 SEC) head to Gainesville to take on the No. 14-ranked Florida Gators (18-6, 9-2 SEC) on Saturday.

The Wildcats clawed their way back into the AP Top 25 with eight victories in nine tries. Kentucky took down some of the country’s best in the process, earning a pair of wins over previously-ranked Tennessee and an 85-77 victory over Arkansas.

Florida is on a similar run, having won nine of their past 10 outings. The Gators have four victories over ranked teams in that stretch, defeating Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, and Vanderbilt to sit atop the SEC.

Saturday’s winner will sit atop the conference standings as well as have bragging rights for their passionate fanbases. We’ll cover who should win this game along with our top three player prop bets below.

Kentucky Wildcats’ Otega Oweh OVER 18.5 Points

Senior Otega Oweh is Kentucky’s offensive catalyst. The 6-foot-4 guard is averaging 17.1 points per game, and he’s adding 4.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists per night to the Wildcats’ box score.

The guard has come into his own as the season progressed. After topping the 20-point mark against North Carolina Central, Oweh has now accomplished that feat in 11 of the past 15 games. The Wildcats should have a strong offensive showing on Saturday (more on that later), making Oweh a strong bet to finish with at least 19 points against the Gators.

Florida Gators’ Thomas Haugh To Record 2+ 3PT Field Goals (-180)

After starting only five games during Florida’s run to the championship last season, Thomas Haugh has become the key to the Gators’ offensive identity. The junior forward is leading his team with 17.5 points per outing, and he’s dishing out 2.1 assists to go along with 6.3 rebounds each night.

The 6-foot-8 athlete isn’t afraid to pull the trigger from deep, either. He’s connecting on 34.4 percent of his three-point shots. Bettors should expect him to hit at least two trifectas on Saturday, making the 17th time in 25 games he will have accomplished this feat.

Florida Gators’ Alex Condon OVER 7.5 Rebounds

Junior Alex Condon has been on a rollercoaster as of late. The 6-foot-11 forward recorded 25 points and seven rebounds against Alabama, but he followed that up with four points and seven boards against Texas A&M.

While his points have ebbed and flowed throughout, his ability to record rebounds hasn’t. He’s had at least seven rebounds in 18 of his 23 games this season. Expect him to finish with at least eight on Saturday, squeaking out this rebound prop bet total.

Best Bet: OVER 152.5 Points

Florida is entering this game as the decided favorite. Oddsmakers have a 10.5-point spread in favor of the Gators. Although Florida has won 16 of their 18 games by double-digit margins, it’s hard to imagine this game being anything but a close contest.

The bettor line is the points. Sportsbooks are expecting the game to finish more than 13 points below what both teams average. Although Florida has held opponents to an average of 71 points per contest in their past 10 games, bettors should expect this to be an offensive affair.
