Iowa vs Illinois: 3 Player Prop Predictions for Saturday, March 27

Everyone was so excited for the NCAA Tournament, but as quickly as this event started, it’s going to be over before we know it! The Final Eight is starting on Saturday, and four teams have already punched their tickets. We’re excited for all of the action and hope that this round brings as much down-to-the-wire action as the rest of the Tournament has thus far.

One of the best games of the weekend could be between Iowa and Illinois, two teams that weren’t expected to be in the Elite Eight when the tournament started but absolutely deserve to be here. We’ve got you covered with our favorite player props from this one, so let’s get into our top picks!

Alvaro Folgueiras OVER 7.5 Points

We have no idea why Alvaro Folgueiras’ points line is so low, but we’re going to take advantage of that in this one. We would play this all the way up to 10.5 points, maybe even 12.5, given how well he’s performing in the Tournament thus far.

Folgueiras has scored 14+ in every March Madness game thus far, and if Iowa wants to keep dancing, he’s going to be a big part of why they stay in this thing. We like his chances of putting up double-digits again in this game, which is why we’re taking the over on his point total.

Keaton Wagler UNDER 17.5 Points

Keaton Wagler has been relatively quiet over Illinois past two games, putting up 14 against VCU and 13 against Houston. He was their top scorer during the regular season, but it seems that they’re taking a more widespread approach to the Tournament, allowing more of their players to have their hands in the outcome of games.

Wagler hasn’t been dominant from a scoring perspective, and we need to see it to believe it from him, so we’re taking the under on his point total, at least for one more game.

Andrej Stojakovic UNDER 4.5 Rebounds

This is another head-scratching line. Andrej Stojakovic hasn’t had more than 4 rebiounds in a game throughout March Madness, and the last time he had 5+ was on March 13th vs. Wisconsin.

We can’t trust him to have a big game in this area, especially in one where every rebound means that much more. We’re riding with the under here, believing boards are going to be hard to come by for the guard!
