And there we have it! The Final Four is officially here, and we’re just three games away from finding out who this year’s champion is. After some Madness and exciting outcomes, the Final Four features two No. 1 seeds, one No. 2, and one No. 3. NIL might have killed the prospect of a Cinderella story, but that doesn’t mean that this year’s Final Four will be boring.
Two amazing games are taking place on Saturday, starting with the battle between Illinois and UConn. Illinois is a 1.5-point favorite, which is effectively a pick-em in basketball. We’re looking forward to this one, and we’ve got you covered with our favorite player props from the action to make it that much more exciting. Let’s get into it!
Tarris Reed Jr. OVER 15.5 Points
We’re not messing around with this first pick. Tarris Reed Jr. has been a force to be reckoned with all year, and he’s been especially effective in the Tournament. He’s had 20+ points in three of four games thus far, including a 26-point performance against Duke.
It might seem simple, but March is all about riding the hot hand, and there aren’t too many players hotter than Reed at the moment.
Andrej Stojakovic OVER 12.5 Points
Speaking of hot, Andrej Stojakovic has been excellent for Illinois over the past three games. He’s had 13+ points in all of those contests, including their blowout win over Iowa, where he put up 17.
One of the great things about Illinois is the sheer number of players who can go off at a moment’s notice for them, and that includes Stojakovic. He doesn’t need to put up a Herculean effort in this one to go over on his projection, so we’re more than comfortable taking his over in this spot.
David Mirkovic OVER 8.5 Rebounds
We’re taking three overs here, including on David Mirkovic’s rebounding total. Mirkovic has been critical to Illinois’s tournament run thus far, especially on the glass.
He had 12 against Iowa in the Elite Eight and 17 against Penn in the opening round, and looks to put up similar numbers to propel his team to the National Championship. Rebounds are going to be at a premium in this one, especially with Alex Karaban on the other side, so we’re rocking with Mirkovic, believing he’s going to come up clutch here.
