We've been on a tear with Unders and there's no reason to stop just yet. Tchewa is a solid 7-foot big man for the Bulldogs, so it's difficult to fade him in the rebounding department. That being said, we have to trust our projections, which have Tchewa only pulling down 5 boards in this one.
Tchewa's median rebounding number is 6 this season, which gives us a slight edge. The Cameroon native has grabbed 6 rebounds or less in 16 of his 29 ball games during the '23-24 campaign. He's also stayed under this total in 6 of his last 8 outings.
The matchup for our Under is kind of so-so against Ole Miss. The Rebels aren't an elite rebounding squad. However, Ole Miss does rank 156th in offensive rebounding, while Georgia ranks just 259th. Let's pull the trigger on the Under!
Holy points inflation, Batman! Yes, I know that Degenhart is a good scorer and he netted 20 points against Nevada back on January 12th. However, this number is at least 2 points too high.
Degenhart's median point total for the season is just 17, which gives us an implied edge of 12.8%. The Spokane, Washington native has also stayed under this total in 17 of his 28 contests. Sure, Degenhart has been in great form, but this line is an over-reaction. What goes up must come down!
As nice as the statistical trends are, the main reason we like this Under is the matchup. Nevada is a solid defensive team, and their post players should be able to contain Degenhart down low. The Wolfpack ranks 39th in points allowed and 56th in defensive efficiency.
I'm not sure why FanDuel is the only book that's offering this prop as of 9 AM Eastern Time. You may be able to get a better number, at least juice-wise, when other shops open. This number is an over-reaction to Domask's 26-point performance against Purdue back on January 5.
Domask is a talented kid, but his median point total is just 15 this season. That equals an implied edge of around 14%. Yes, Illinois has a great offense, but Terrance Shannon Jr. takes the majority of the shots for the Fighting Illini.
Lastly, we have to remember that Purdue isn't a bad defensive team. The Boilermakers rank 30th in the nation in defensive efficiency. Look for Zach Edey to help contain Domask tonight in this one. Take the Under!
