Alabama vs. Mississippi State 3 Player Props for January 29

Happy Wednesday to all! The college basketball season is in full swing, and the best teams are starting to reveal themselves. There has, however, been a lot of shifting in the Top 25 throughout the year, as some teams have taken a dip while others have thrived. March isn’t that far away, so it’s a great time to watch these teams and players, hoping to get a leg-up on your co-workers and friends when it comes to March Madness.

We’re excited about the slate of games tonight, but one game in particular has caught our attention, which is why we’re only writing about the matchup between No. 4 Alabama and No. 14 Mississippi State. Both teams have been great all season, and this will be a great litmus test to see who’s playing better at the moment.

This game should be entertaining by itself, but to make it a bit more fun, we’ve put our favorite player props together from the action, all of which can be found on Underdog. Let’s get into it!

Grant Nelson (BAMA) OVER 7.5 Rebounds

Grant Nelson has been awesome all season. He’s a consistent force for Alabama in many aspects, especially when it comes to his rebounding numbers. Nelson has played particularly well against ranked opponents this year, putting up eight or more rebounds in all eight games where he’s faced teams in the top 25.

We’re certainly not going to bet against him while he’s on this hot streak, which is why we’re taking the over on his rebounding total.

Josh Hubbard (MISS ST) UNDER 17.5 Points

We were a bit surprised to see Josh Hubbard’s point total so high in this game, especially since he hasn’t scored over 18 points against a ranked opponent all year. His best game against a ranked counterpart was against Auburn on January 14th when he scored 17 points, but as a whole, he doesn’t seem to put up big points against some of the best teams in the country.

Considering he’s only averaging 16.3 PPG on the year and his track record against strong teams, we’re fading Hubbard’s point total tonight.

Aden Holloway (BAMA) UNDER 4.5 Rebounds & Assists

Are we missing something here? Aden Holloway has been very inconsistent for Alabama all season when it comes to his rebounding and assist totals. He has some strong nights, totaling nine RA against Mississippi a few weeks ago, but only managed two RA against Texas A&M the game before.

We can’t trust Holloway in this ranked matchup, wanting to see it to believe it, so we’ll take the under on his rebound and assists total in this one.
