UFC Fight Night Odds, Predictions, and Best Bets

The UFC is back at the Apex in Las Vegas, NV, with a fun Fight Night card on ESPN+. The card isn’t stacked with a ton of notable names like the last couple of cards, but there should be some fun fights, and we’ll get a look at a bunch of up-and-coming prospects.

Today, I will break down my 3 favorite bets for this weekend’s fight card. Let’s get into it!

Rodolfo Viera (10-3) vs Tresean Gore (6-3)

Viera is one of the best BJJ practitioners that the UFC has ever seen. He is a 5x world champion and won his lone appearance at the ADCC tournament back in 2015. Now he has transitioned into MMA and has been solid so far in his UFC career.

Holding a 5-3 record with all 5 of his wins coming by submission, Viera is a very dangerous fight for anyone. Tresean Gore was a former Ultimate Fighter finalist, where he lost to Bryan Battle in the final. He has struggled in his UFC career so far with a record of 2-3, but he holds serious KO power.

I think this fight is going to go well for Viera. He is far more skilled on the ground than Gore and I am not sure Gore has to ability to keep the fight standing for all 15 minutes. Viera is a pretty heavy favorite, sitting at -220, but I am taking him to win this one by submission, like he has in all of his UFC victories to date.

MY PICK: Rodolfo Viera by Submission

Neil Magny (29-14) vs Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos (25-9-1)

We have a battle between two veterans in this one. Both of these guys are 38 or older and have a ton of fight experience under their belts.

They also have recently been struggling with no real win streaks over there last 5 fights on either side. Both guys are coming off of tough losses as well, and as they age, could be on their last legs in their fight career.

With both guys coming off of TKO losses, I’m a bit nervous about this one. But it does make me think this fight might be pretty deep since they may be timid to start it off. Magny has a serious gas tank and with both of these guys being super well rounded I think the gas tank will help out a ton. Give me Magny, who is a serious underdog in this one.

MY PICK: Neil Magny +160

Tatsuro Taira (16-1) vs Hyunsung Park (10-0)

This should be a very fun fight between two very promising young prospects. Taira has a very impressive 6-1 UFC record with 3 finishes in that span, but he is coming off of a tough loss to Brandon Royval.

Park is much younger in his UFC career with just a 3-0 record, but he has won all 3 by finish. This should be a high action fight with a lot of output from both of these guys. Taira opens this up as a huge favorite and I think it is for a great reason.

He is dangerous from every level of a fight from submissions to his striking and I think his 7 extra fights of experience will show in this one. He also is coming off of his first loss which usually accounts for a big push to get back on the right track. Give me Taira with the points to dominate this one.

MY PICK: Tatsuro Taira -5.5 +185
