UFC Fight Night Perth 3 Best Bets for September 27

The UFC is heading to Perth, Australia, and we have a fun card in store. Headlined by top Light heavyweight contenders Carlos Ulberg and Dom Reyes, we will have an awesome night of fights in store.

Today, I will break down my 3 favorite bets for this weekend’s fight card. Let’s get into it!

Cam Rowston (12-3) vs Andre Petroski (13-4)

This should be an interesting fight on the prelims in this one. Andre Petroski is a veteran at this point, with an 8-3 record so far in his UFC career. He will now take on Cam Rowston, who is making his UFC debut after going 1-1 in the Contender Series.

Rowston is a pretty well-rounded fighter, but this will be a tough matchup with the high-level wrestling that Petroski brings to the table. I think Petroksi will take this fight. He has a ton of UFC experience, and while he is taking this fight on short notice, he has a big advantage in experience.

Rowston is tough and works out of City Kickboxing with a great team, but he hasn’t faced a fighter with the wrestling acumen that Petroski brings. Much like all his other fights, I think Petroski will win a decision here.

MY PICK: Andre Petroski by Dec +150

Jack Jenkins (13-4) vs Ramon Taveras (10-3)

This should be a fun fight between two rising prospects. Both of these guys are coming into this fight off the heels of a loss, so they will be desperate to get back on track. Jenkins is 3-2 in his young UFC career, but we have seen some seriously impressive striking out of him. He’ll be taking on Taveras, who is just 1-1 in his UFC career, but he is also a dangerous striker.

Jenkins, in my eyes, has the advantage here. He has seriously scary kicks and quick striking, and I think his distance control will give him an upper hand in this fight. Taveras is a powerful striker, but I am not sure he is as well-rounded as Jenkins on his feet.

I don’t see either of these guys rushing to take this to the ground, so I’m expecting a fun one on the feet. Jenkins with the points will be our best bet.

MY PICK: Jack Jenkins -3.5 -120

Carlos Ulberg (13-1) vs Dominick Reyes (15-4)

This is going to be an awesome fight between two of the top Light Heavyweight contenders. Reyes, a former title contender, seems to have revived his career, winning his last 3 fights. Reyes, who gave Jon Jones one of his best fights back in 2020, went on to lose 3 straight after that battle, all by KO/TKO.

He is now back on a 3-fight win streak, but will have to take out rising star Carlus Ulberg, who hasn’t lost since 2021. He has since ripped off 8 straight wins, including wins over perennial contender Volkan Oezdemir and former champ Jan Blachowicz. In my eyes this fight stays on its feet and doesn’t go too far. Both of these guys are brutal strikers and truly anything can happen out there.

Ulberg is a huge favorite, coming in at -250, but I really think Reyes can give him a good fight. I think the best value we can find on this main event is to take Reyes by KO/TKO at +350. Reyes is a pure athlete and with confidence back on his side, I think he can be extremely dangerous here.

MY PICK: Dom Reyes by KO/TKO +350
