Main Event Play: Henry Cejudo (+230)
Cejudo has not won a fight since his comeback in 2023 after a 3-year retirement. However, his losses came against 2 former champions and phenomenal wrestlers/grapplers in Sterling and Dvalishvili.
Here, he is facing a great striker in Song Yadong which we believe will be a better style for Cejudo to face. Yadong is coming off a decision loss to Petr Yan who is closer to Cejudo’s level than many of Song’s opponents in which he was able to pick up victories.
We like the dog here in the main event to grind out a decision win with a number of takedowns and control time. Give me all that plus money on Cejudo!
Main Card Top Play: Jean Matsumoto (-148)
The undefeated (15-0) Matsumoto faces off with Rob Font in this catch-weight bout. Matsumoto is 25 and in the prime of his career while Font is 37 and on the downside of his career.
While Font is coming off a solid unanimous decision victory over Kyler Phillips back in October, we just do not believe he will be able to keep pace with Matsumoto in this one. The price here is too low to pass up on the undefeated bantamweight.
Silva is 14-2 and has 11 of those 14 wins coming via KO/TKO which includes his last 3 wins. Those 3 recent wins all came while competing in the UFC and his last decision was in the contender series.
Here, he faces Melsik Baghdsaryan, who has yet to be KO/TKO’d in his career. He is 3-1 since joining the UFC but is in for a step up in level of competition with Silva. This fight should be a stand-up strike fest, which we believe will end with Melsik on the ground.
