After a thrilling UFC 298, we're back this Saturday, February 24 for Fight Night. The Main Event will pit Brandon Moreno against Brandon Royval in what should be a phenomenal rematch between two top-tier flyweights. Moreno has a 12-pound size advantage as well as a two-inch reach edge.
Check out the live odds and all of our best bets for Moreno vs Royval 2 below. Thanks for reading! Good luck with your bets and enjoy the action this weekend.
In the 1st meeting between Royval and Moreno, it ended with just seconds remaining in the 1st. Moreno got the TKO as he was pummeling Royval with short shots to the head, however, once he got up everyone realized that Royval had an arm injury.
His elbow had popped out of place and left him unable to defend himself in the final seconds. Prior to that, Moreno was winning the round as he picked up a ton of control time and landed the more significant strikes. That said, Royval was far from out of his league.
He landed a couple of nice shots and was able to avoid Moreno’s sub attempts and did a nice job getting up after his 1st takedown. Moreno at times seems to fight at the level of hype around his fight.
This one does not have the type of “contender” or title type atmosphere and the fact that he won the previous fight could leave him vulnerable to looking past Royval here. The value on Royval here was too much to pass up in our opinion.
Oddly enough, this is another rematch fight that had the previous fight end due to an arm injury. In the previous, Ortega’s shoulder popped out of place and that was where the fight was stopped.
Prior to that, Yair was connecting on everything he threw in the standup. He did not really hurt Ortega much but nonetheless the speed of Yair was evident.
Ortega tried 2 takedown and was unsuccessful on both. We believe Yair’s speed and ability to defend the takedowns will be the difference in this one as he picks up another W.
Torres has some serious power and can certainly finish this fight inside the distance. We did not believe the juice on the other options were worth the price.
Because of that, we're playing Manuel by decision with the added insurance that if it does end prior that we will get a push on our action.
