UFC 314 Odds, Predictions, and Best Bets

UFC 314 is here, and our MMA expert is ready to roll with three best bets. See who he likes in the Main Event between Volkanovski and Lopes below.

For good measure, he’s added an extra five leans for all of the other fights on the card. Good luck, and enjoy all of the action on Saturday, April 12th.

Main Event Play: Alexander Volkanovski (-134)

Volk has dropped his last 2 fights via KO/TKO. However, those losses came to 2 of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world (Islam & Topuria).

Now, Diego Lopes is nowhere near an easy opponent. However, it will be a step down from his last 2 opponents.

We like Volk to outwork Lopes in this contest and take him deep into the championship rounds, where he has the experience and will grind out a win in this one.

Main Card Top Finish Play: Paddy Pimblett by SUB (+250)

Paddy is fighting arguably the most overrated fighter on the UFC roster. Throw out his initial win over Dan Hooker in his UFC debut and Michael Chandler is just 1-4 in his UFC career with the lone win coming over a washed-up Tony Ferguson.

Paddy likes to throw fists, but he is no longer that young, dumb, immature kid. He knows that if he gets this one to the ground, it is over.

He has way superior grappling, and we see him taking Chandler’s back for a rear-naked choke to pick up this win.

Top Underdog Play: Bryce Mitchell (+186)

Silva has won his last 4 fights via KO/TKO and will be looking to do the same in this matchup with Mitchell. We like Mitchell to make this an ugly fight.

Silva has the power advantage, but Mitchell can get close and turn this into a boring grappling contest which will frustrate Silva.

This is not the easiest path to victory but likely the only path for Mitchell. For better odds, playing Mitchell by DEC is not a terrible move here.

Other Leans for All Remaining Fights

  • Yair Rodriguez (-205)
  • Nikita Krylov (-210)
  • Dan Ige (+125)
  • Jim Miller (+525)
  • Hailey Cowan (+140)
