There is a Game 6 tonight in San Antonio, and the prediction markets are treating it like must-see television. More than $2.2 million has already traded on who wins the Spurs-Thunder series matchup. Add in a couple of NBA Draft longshots and a season-long baseball wager on Andy Pages, and prediction markets are giving sports fans a genuinely entertaining set of things to care about this week.

If you have never paid attention to prediction markets before, right now is a pretty good time to start. Here is what is on the board.

The Main Event: Spurs vs. Thunder, Game 6 Tonight

This series has been exactly what the NBA needed. The Western Conference Finals between the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder has been a back-and-forth battle between two franchises that both won more than 60 games during the regular season. As of tonight, Game 6 is the next chapter.

Prediction markets are pricing the Spurs at 59.5% to win tonight, with Oklahoma City at 40.5%. Tip-off is at 8:30 PM ET on NBC.

The reason the Spurs are favored comes down to one name: Victor Wembanyama. The 7-foot-5 center has been unstoppable in stretches throughout this series, and in Game 4, he put the basketball world on notice in a way that is difficult to describe. With just a few seconds left before halftime — the ball roughly 90 feet from the basket — Wembanyama pulled up at the mid-court logo and drained a buzzer beater. Not a heave. An actual pull-up jump shot from almost the full length of the court. The Spurs went on to win that game by 21 points.

On the other side, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been doing his thing for Oklahoma City all playoffs long. The Thunder are not going to roll over for anyone, and 40.5% is still a very live underdog price. This game has everything a sports bettor could want: two elite teams, a star player making history, and a winner-take-the-moment pressure situation.

If you are betting on the NBA, it is worth checking the latest NBA odds and reviewing our NBA betting guide before putting any money on Game 6. The prediction market line and the sportsbook line are running close together, which means neither side has a built-in edge — the market is pricing this accurately.

NBA Draft Season Is Starting to Heat Up

The 2026 NBA Draft is scheduled for late June, and prediction markets have already opened contracts on where specific prospects land. The fifth overall pick has two active markets running simultaneously — one for Darryn Peterson and one for Yaxel Lendeborg.

Both markets are currently priced in the 1% range, meaning neither prospect is expected to land at number five. But with over $500,000 in combined volume flowing through both contracts, there are clearly people out there who think the fifth slot is not as settled as the consensus suggests. If you follow draft boards closely, this is the kind of market where good information can pay off well. The implied payout at these prices is in the range of 80-to-1 or better.

Draft markets are one of the more fun corners of the prediction market world because the information edge can be real. Pre-draft workouts, reported team interest, and scouting intel can all move prices — and if you see something before the market does, you can profit from it.

The Andy Pages Long Shot: Would You Bet on a 64-to-1 Payoff?

Here is the most intriguing market for anyone who loves value hunting. A contract on whether Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Andy Pages will lead Major League Baseball in RBIs at the end of the 2026 regular season is currently sitting at 1.55% probability. That is a 64-to-1 implied return.

The market is saying no — loudly. At 98.45%, the crowd is nearly certain Pages does not finish the season as the league’s RBI leader. But there is more than $634,000 in total volume on this contract, which means real money has been placed on both sides. Someone is betting yes, and they are getting paid handsomely if they are right.

Season-long markets like this are one of the places where prediction markets genuinely add something that traditional sportsbooks do not always offer. You can take a position in May and ride it all season. If Pages gets hot and starts climbing the leaderboard, the market price will move and you can exit at a profit before the season even ends.

Where Prediction Markets and Sports Betting Intersect

Prediction markets and sportsbooks serve different purposes, but the fans who use both tend to get more out of their sports watching experience. Prediction markets let you trade in and out of positions as games develop and news breaks, which adds a live dimension to following sports. A lot of the same skills that make someone a good sports bettor — reading line movement, understanding context, knowing when the crowd is wrong — apply directly to prediction markets.
