Woof. Just as we predicted, the Florida Panthers took care of business in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final, beating the Edmonton Oilers, 4-3. This was a hard-fought game throughout, and while it looked like the Oilers had some juice, they couldn’t pull away from the Panthers.
Can the Oilers find a way to win Game 4 and extend the series? We’re about to find out. As you prepare to watch this game, take a look at our favorite bets and player props from the action, as we hope to have another profitable night in the NHL!
Florida Panthers Moneyline (+105)
We were lucky enough to catch the Panthers’ moneyline at +115 in Game 3. The books aren’t juicing the moneyline that much in Game 4, but it’s still good enough for us to ride with the Panthers for one more night.
They have simply outplayed the Oilers to this point in the series. While the underdog lover in us wants the Oilers to win the game, it’s just not a smart play for us to take.
Look for the Panthers to complete the sweep in Game 4, the first sweep in a Stanley Cup Final series since 1998.
UNDER 5.5 Total Goals (-120)
We took this line in Game 3, and unfortunately, the game was a lot more high-scoring than we anticipated. However, we’re choosing to believe that this was a statistical anomaly of a game, and we’re going back to the well in Game 4.
Both goalies and defenses are playing exceptionally well at the moment, and in a crucial game, we expect them to be in top form.
Connor McDavid OVER 3.5 Shots On Goal
If you’ve never watched hockey before, you’ve still probably heard Connor McDavid’s name. He is regarded as one of the best young players in the sport and is slated to make a massive impact on the league for years to come.
We expect McDavid to have a monster game to try and keep the Oilers in contention, which is why we’re hammering the over on his shots on goal line. He’s simply too dominant of a player to come up empty in this one.
Sam Reinhart UNDER 2.5 Shots On Goal
While we expect McDavid to have a big night in Game 3, we anticipate the opposite for Sam Reinhart. The Panthers certainly rely on him in many ways, but he doesn’t necessarily rack up a ton of shots on goal.
He’s only eclipsed this mark in one game this series, an indication that the Oilers’ defense has limited him to this point.
