Canucks-Rangers SGP: The Best Same Game Parlay to Back on Sunday Night

The Rangers are rolling at home and the Canucks are banged up in net. Here’s a 4-leg same game parlay to ride Sunday night at Madison Square Garden.

The Rangers are rolling at Madison Square Garden and the Canucks are walking into a buzzsaw. New York enters Sunday night 4-2-0 overall and a perfect 3-0-0 at home, while Vancouver limps in at 2-4-0 and 1-2-0 on the road. Puck drop is 6:00 PM ET, and this one has all the makings of a fun night to build a same game parlay around.

The Rangers are heavy -250 favorites on the moneyline, with the total sitting at 5.5/6.5 depending on the book and Vancouver getting +1.5 on the puck line. That’s a lot of moving parts to stack into one ticket, and we’re taking full advantage.

Leg 1: Rangers Moneyline

New York has been the better team from puck drop this season, and nothing about Sunday’s matchup changes that. The Rangers are a perfect 3-0-0 at Madison Square Garden, outscoring opponents comfortably while getting elite goaltending from Igor Shesterkin, who’s sitting on a sparkling 1.79 GAA and a .927 save percentage through four starts.

Vancouver, meanwhile, has struggled mightily in net. Kevin Lankinen owns a brutal 7.05 GAA and a .792 save percentage across his starts, numbers that simply aren’t sustainable against a Rangers lineup that can score in bunches. The Canucks are also just 1-2-0 away from home, and they’re walking into one of the toughest buildings in the league against a team playing with real confidence right now.

Books have Rangers moneyline priced around -250 to -270, and while that’s a chalky number, it’s the backbone leg that makes the rest of this parlay make sense.

Leg 2: Over 5.5 Total Goals

This game has shootout written all over it. New York and Vancouver have combined to average roughly 6.5 goals per game this season, and defensively, the two sides are combining to allow 6.7 goals per game — well above this matchup’s total of 5.5 or 6.5 depending on the book. The Over has cashed in three of the Rangers’ six games and three of the Canucks’ six games this season.

Throw in Lankinen’s shaky form between the pipes for Vancouver, and it’s easy to see this one getting up into the 6-7 goal range. Computer projections have this game landing around 6.6 total goals, right in line with where the Over sits best.

Leg 3: Alexis Lafreniere Anytime Goal Scorer

Lafreniere has been en fuego to start the year, piling up four goals and two assists for six points in just six games, tied for the Rangers’ team lead in scoring alongside Elias Pettersson’s production pace on the other side. He’s scoring at a goal-per-1.5-games clip right now, and he’s priced around +165 to +180 to find the back of the net on Sunday.

With the Rangers expected to control possession and generate chances against a leaky Vancouver defense, Lafreniere projects as one of the better value plays on the board at that price. He’s shooting the puck with confidence and getting prime minutes on a Rangers line that’s clicking early.

Leg 4: J.T. Miller Over 1.5 Shots on Goal

J.T. Miller returns to Madison Square Garden against his former club with extra motivation, and he’s been a high-volume shooter for New York all season. His shots on goal line sits at 1.5, priced around -110, and given his usage on the Rangers’ top unit, clearing that number is a reasonable lean in a game that should feature plenty of offensive chances for New York.

Miller’s familiarity with Vancouver’s system only adds intrigue — he knows exactly where the soft spots are in that Canucks defense, and expect him to test Lankinen early and often.

The Full Parlay

Stack these four legs — Rangers moneyline, Over 5.5 total goals, Alexis Lafreniere anytime goal scorer, and J.T. Miller over 1.5 shots on goal — and you’ve got a same game parlay that leans into everything pointing toward a lopsided, high-event night at the Garden. Combined odds will vary by sportsbook given the moneyline and prop pricing, so check your book for the exact payout before placing it.

Vancouver’s road struggles, its shaky goaltending, and a red-hot Rangers squad at home all tell the same story. This is the kind of game where New York controls the pace, gets its stars involved, and cruises — and a well-built same game parlay is the smartest way to capture all of it on one ticket.
