The 3-6 and Dak-less Dallas Cowboys will play hosts to the 6-4 Houston Texans this Monday night. The game will be in Jerry World again, a week after the controversy about the sunlight hitting CeeDee Lamb and causing him to miss what looked to be an easy touchdown. There were plenty of comments made by the players, press, and Jerry Jones about the issue.
However, that will not be their challenge in this one as it takes place in the evening. We are unsure if it will be Cooper Rush or Trey Lance starting for the Cowboys in this one. Neither of them looked good against the Eagles in their 34-6 loss last week. If Dallas plans to have any chance in this game, they will need someone to step on offense to give the defense a break, which has not been the case all season.
Houston, while being 6-4, has lost 3 of their last 4 games; including back-to-back games against the Jets and Lions. While the loss to the Jets was unexpected, the loss to the Lions may have stung more.
They led 23-7 as they headed into the 4th quarter but were unable to answer the 13 points the Lions scored and watched their lead turn into a deficit in the final seconds of the game. The Lions racked up 345 total yards and held the Texans to just 56 yards on the ground. It is nearly impossible to lose a game where you force 5 turnovers, but this Texans team somehow found a way to do just that.
While the Texans are still licking their wounds and are on a downward trajectory, they are getting lucky to face this Cowboys team now. Dallas seems to be in a complete free-fall with their newly contracted QB, Dak Prescott heading to the IR.
We like the Texans to use this opportunity to figure things out and get Nico Collins back in the mix who just came off the IR himself. Lay the points with confidence, folks!
