Rams vs Eagles Predictions: 2 Player Props and Best Bet for Sunday, September 21

The NFL season is heading into Week 3, and this season is already in full swing. The defending Super Bowl Champs, the Philadelphia Eagles, will be taking on the Los Angeles Rams this weekend in a rematch of probably the best playoff game from last season.

Both of these teams are off to perfect 2-0 starts, and it is no surprise. They are both stacked with talent on both sides of the ball, so this should be a very fun game. Today, I’ll break down my three best bets to watch in this game.

Jalen Hurts over 38.5 Rush Yards (-114)

Jalen Hurts and the Eagles offense have been struggling to get the passing game going so far this season, ranking 32nd in Pass Play Percentage (40%) and 31st in Pass Yards per Game (119). Their running game, however, has been nearly unstoppable.

They rank 1st in Rush Play Percentage (60%), Rushes/Game (36), and Rush TDs/Game (2.5). This has a ton to do with their incredible offensive line and the fact that they have Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts, both of whom have game-changing abilities when they get moving.

In Hurts’ two regular-season starts against the Rams in his career, he has averaged 13.5 carries and 55.5 yards. The Rams have a solid pass defense, ranking in the top half of the league in every category, but their rush defense is leaky. I think the Eagles will once again rely on their running game to get the job done, and Hurts will be a big part of this.

Matthew Stafford Over 1.5 Passing TD (+114)

Matt Stafford may be aging, but he has still looked great so far this season. In his first two games, he has passed for over 240 yards and at least 1 TD. This will be his toughest defense yet, but he has had success against the Eagles since he joined the Rams.

In his two regular-season starts against the Eagles since joining LA, Stafford has thrown for at least 220 Yards and 2 TDs. The Rams may have lost Cooper Kupp, but Puka Nacua has emerged as one of the best WRs in the league, and the addition of Davante Adams has been huge.

The Eagles’ pass defense is pretty solid, but there are some holes in their secondary. They also rank 30th in sack percentage, and if you give Matt Stafford time to throw, he will pick you apart. I think this game may be a shootout, similar to both of their meetings last season.

Rams @ Eagles Over 44.5 (-115)

Both of these teams have electric offenses filled with star player after star player. In last season’s regular-season matchup between these teams, they totaled 57 points and combined for 771 yards of offense.

Their matchup in the playoffs was similar, totaling 50 points and 752 yards in a blizzard. Both of these teams are starting the season with 2-0 records and they are both legitimate contenders in the NFC. I think this game is going to be high scoring and led by both of these electric offenses once again.
