Week 15 of the NFL season is officially here, which means we are less than a month away from the playoffs. Some of the field have already established themselves, like the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills, but most spots are still up for grabs. This is a very important week for teams to put together a win, especially for those teams on the bubble.
Luckily for NFL fans, this week’s Thursday Night Football matchup features two teams that are both in the playoff hunt: the San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles Rams.
The 49ers’ season has been disappointing compared to preseason rankings, as they were Super Bowl favorites heading into the year. At 6-7, they can still make the postseason, but they’ll have to take down the Rams to give themselves the best possible chance, a team they’ve already lost to this season.
With this game in mind, let's find our favorite player props from the evening, hoping to make this game that much more fun. Let’s get into it!
George Kittle continues to be a safety blanket in the 49ers’ offense, a player that Brock Purdy can rely on in the toughest of situations. Fantasy football managers have benefitted from Kittle’s fantastic season, and the 49ers will look to rely on him in a must-win game tonight.
He’s logged at least five catches in three of his past five games, giving us confidence that he can eclipse this mark again tonight. Kittle has historically played well against the Rams when healthy, so we’re taking the over on his reception line, hoping he keeps that going.
The 49ers have made it clear that they are big fans of Ricky Pearsall, at least on paper. They liked him enough to take him in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, as he was a fantastic prospect.
However, getting shot put his development on pause, and the 49ers haven’t used him as much as they thought they would. He has only been targeted five times in the 49ers’ last four games, managing just one reception in those four outings.
Look for Purdy to throw more balls to Deebo Samuel and Kittle, leaving Pearsall without much of an opportunity in the offense.
Cooper Kupp’s production has been inconsistent since he came back into the Rams’ offense after his injury. He has put together several “boom” weeks this season, games with 70+ yards, but his floor is lower than in years past, logging just 37 yards in Week 2.
He’s coming off a 92-yard game against the Buffalo Bills, and we believe he’ll only build off that momentum in this game, putting up at least 65 yards in the process.
Matthew Stafford likes to target the players he trusts the most, and he seemingly has the best rapport with Kupp, so we’ll gladly take the over in this spot.
