This season's NFL schedule gives fans almost as many gifts as Ole Saint Nick himself! Week 16 wraps up with 3 intriguing matchups on Christmas Day and we can't wait. We get Raiders at Chiefs at 1 PM Eastern, Giants at Eagles at 4:30, and an incredible Ravens at 49ers colossal at 8:15.
If all you want for Christmas is a few winning player prop bets, you've come to the right place! Here's what we have on tap in the NFL for December 25. Best of luck with all of your bets and Merry Christmas from the EatWatchBet Team!
I've cashed with this prop several times this season and don't mind running it back here at pretty decent juice. The unprecedented success of the Brotherly Shove continues to limit Hurts's ability to throw for multiple touchdowns in a game. In fact, Hurts has thrown for 1 TD or less in 9 of his 14 ball games in 2023.
Hurts, a former star for both Alabama and Oklahoma, has improved his passing skills quite a bit but has struggled of late with his arm. He hasn't thrown a touchdown since December 3rd against the Niners. Hurts has also stayed under this number of TD passes in 4 out of his last 5 outings.
Philadelphia head coach Nick Sirianni knows that the Giants' biggest defensive liability is against the run. New York ranks just 30th in yards per rush allowed, so look for the Eagles to run the ball a ton with Swift, Hurts, and Gainwell. That should limit Hurts's opportunities through the air. Take the Under!
Has anyone been hurt more in NFL history than Darren Waller? The poor guy just can't catch a break. However, the former Georgia Tech standout looks to be 100% healthy for the first time in quite a while. Waller hauled in 4 receptions last week against the Saints and I think he gets at least that many against the Eagles this week.
What encouraged me about last week's performance from Waller was that Tommy Devito gave him 6 targets. That's a pretty good number when you consider that Waller only played 42% of offensive snaps for New York. I look for Waller's snap count to increase to the 65% or more range on Christmas.
Waller has only played in 9 games for the G-Men this season, but he's gone over this number of receptions in 5 of them. He's also grabbed 4 or more receptions in 4 out of his last 5 games. Let's play the Over!
I know that San Fran has a world-beating defense, but I'll take my chances with Mr. Flowers here at basically plus-money. The former Boston College star has a median receptions number of 5 this season. He also has a median targets number of 6.5 per game.
Baltimore will have to score quite often to keep pace with the mighty San Francisco offense in this game. Because of that, I think Ravens OC Todd Monken will try to get Flowers involved early and often in this contest. Flowers may be a rookie, but he's one of the best weapons on this Baltimore offense.
For the season, Flowers has caught 5 or more passes in 8 of his 14 games. He's also gone over this total in 2 of his last 3. As good as the Niners defense is, they only rank 24th in opponent completion percentage (66.10%). Let's bank on a big game from Flowers on Christmas Night.
