NFL Week 3 Top Same Game Parlays for Sunday, September 22

Another week has gone by, which means that Week 3 of the NFL Season is about to kick off. While the Thursday Night Football game might be a bit of a snoozefest, Sunday’s slate is going to be awesome.

There are several great matchups taking place that day, and we’re excited to watch another great day of football. With all of these great games in mind, we’ve decided to dive into a few key matchups, looking at our favorite same-game parlays. We’ve targeted two marquee games, so without further adieu, let’s get into it!

Houston Texans VS. Minnesota Vikings

If you told us that this was going to be an exciting matchup heading into the season, we probably wouldn’t have believed you. Many thought the Vikings were going to have a poor season, and that the Texans would be one of the best teams in the AFC.

The Texans have looked the part thus far, but the Vikings are surprisingly 2-0. This should be a back-and-forth battle, which is why we’re taking the parlay below, which has odds of +506 from FanDuel:

  • Houston Texans -2.5
  • Over 45.5 Total Points
  • Sam Darnold OVER 250 Yards

Let’s start with the away team, the Texans. C.J. Stroud and his boys should take care of business against the Vikings in this one, likely getting out to a big early lead. The Vikings have proven to have a decent defense this year, but Stroud and his explosive offense should be no match for them. We project them to win this game by at least three points.

Live player props data coming soon for Sam Darnold.

That’s not to say the Vikings won’t put up a fight, which is why we’re taking the over and Sam Darnold to throw for 250+ yards. Darnold has looked surprisingly good thus far, being a great teammate to Justin Jefferson and Co.

Jefferson is certainly his top receiver, but players like Aaron Jones and Jalen Nailor should help contribute to what we think will be a massive passing day from Darnold.

Detroit Lions VS Arizona Cardinals

Man, this should be a fun game. The Lions and Cardinals have both shown some explosive offensive play to this point in the year, and we’re ready to see two juggernauts go at it. Kyler Murray seems to be back in top form, and Jared Goff has continued where he left off last year. Here’s our top same-game parlay from the action which has odds of +622.

  • Arizona Cardinals -2.5 (Alternate Spread)
  • Total Points OVER 51.5
  • Marvin Harrison Jr. OVER 70 Receiving Yards

The Cardinals are actually 2.5-point underdogs at home, which would indicate that the Lions are closer to 5.5-point favorites in this game. We believe the Cardinals will win this game outright, which is why we took their alternate spread of -2.5. This team is getting hotter by the second, and we can’t wait to see what they can do in this home game.

As we mentioned earlier, the Lions should put up some great numbers too, and we wouldn’t be surprised if the total game over hit by the end of the third quarter. Both teams have prolific rushing and passing attacks, making for a perfect storm with a plethora of points on the board.

Live player props data coming soon for Marvin Harrison Jr..

Marvin Harrison Jr. had his coming-out party last week, raking in two touchdown catches and amassing more than 120 yards of offense. He shouldn’t have any trouble achieving at least 70 yards against the Lions' secondary, and we’re ready to watch the kid have another great week.
