NFL Receiving Yards Leader Odds: Puka Nacua and Ja’Marr Chase Headline a Loaded 2026 Board

The NFL’s receiving yards crown has changed hands in back-to-back years, and the 2026 futures market says it’s about to happen again. DraftKings currently has Puka Nacua as the favorite at +550, with reigning champ Jaxon Smith-Njigba and perennial contender Ja’Marr Chase bunched right behind him. It’s the tightest three-way race this market has seen in years, and there’s real money to be made if you know where the value hides.

How the Odds Board Actually Shakes Out

As of late July, futures odds at DraftKings list Puka Nacua at +550 to lead the league in receiving yards, with Ja’Marr Chase at +600 and Jaxon Smith-Njigba at +650 rounding out the top tier. After that trio, the drop-off is steep: Amon-Ra St. Brown sits at +950, CeeDee Lamb at +1100, and Justin Jefferson — yes, that Justin Jefferson — all the way out at +1400.

Prediction markets tell a slightly different story. On Kalshi, Chase and Smith-Njigba are essentially co-favorites at 15 cents apiece, with Nacua a shade behind at 12 cents. Blend that with model projections and you get Smith-Njigba around an 11.5% implied shot, Chase at 10.8%, and Nacua at 10.6% — basically a dead heat at the top of a 26-man field where nobody else clears 7%.

Top Contenders

Jaxon Smith-Njigba (Seattle Seahawks) enters the year as the man to beat after posting a monster 1,793 yards on 163 targets last season — the kind of workload and efficiency combination that made him nearly unstoppable down the stretch. He’s not just a name value bet at this point; he’s the defending titleholder with the receiving corps and quarterback continuity to make a real run at doing it again.

Ja’Marr Chase (Cincinnati Bengals) is the most target-hungry receiver in the league, full stop. He led all NFL wideouts with 185 targets last season and still “only” finished with 1,412 yards — a number that undersells just how central he is to Cincinnati’s passing attack. If Joe Burrow stays healthy and the Bengals throw the ball anywhere near as much as they did a year ago, Chase’s volume alone keeps him squarely in this race, and his 2024 title run proves he’s got the ceiling to get there.

Puka Nacua (Los Angeles Rams) put up 1,715 yards in just 16 games last season, and that per-game pace is exactly why the market has installed him as the favorite. When healthy, Nacua’s catch radius and after-the-catch ability with Matthew Stafford throwing him the ball make him arguably the most dangerous receiver in football on a yards-per-target basis. The concern, as always with Nacua, is availability — but the talent and target share are undeniable when he’s on the field.

Amon-Ra St. Brown (Detroit Lions) quietly racked up 1,401 yards on 172 targets, and Detroit’s offense remains one of the most efficient and pass-heavy attacks in the league. He’s the model of consistency at this position, rarely posting a bad week, which makes him a live longshot even at plus-950 odds.

The Case for Fading the Favorites

Justin Jefferson’s price is the one that should catch every sharp bettor’s eye. After a down year by his own lofty standards — 1,048 yards on 141 targets — the market has essentially written him off, pricing him behind names like Nico Collins and Drake London. That feels like an overcorrection for one of the most talented receivers of his generation.

Jefferson has finished as the NFL’s receiving yards leader once before, in 2022, and he’s never finished outside the top 10 in a full season.

George Pickens is another name worth watching after landing with the Cowboys and posting 1,429 yards on just 137 targets — elite efficiency in a new offense that figures to lean on him even more in year two of that partnership. CeeDee Lamb, still priced around 4.6% on Kalshi despite being the only player in this entire field who’s actually won a receiving yards title before, also looks undervalued relative to his track record and target share in Dallas.

Volume is still king in this market. Whoever leads the league in targets among the league’s top-tier route runners is almost always in the conversation come Week 18.

The Best Bet

The safest angle is backing the target hog. Ja’Marr Chase’s 185 targets last season were the highest of any receiver in the NFL by a wide margin, and even with “only” 1,412 yards to show for it, that kind of volume with his catch radius gives him the highest floor of anyone in the top tier. Puka Nacua’s per-game pace makes him the pick if you’re betting on a fully healthy season, but health has been the swing factor in each of his NFL seasons so far.

  • Pick: Ja’Marr Chase +600
  • Value alternative: Justin Jefferson +1400

Chase’s volume gives him a path to the title even in a down efficiency year, while Jefferson at +1400 offers real upside if Minnesota’s passing game bounces back anywhere close to his career norms. Either way, this market is deep enough that there’s a legitimate case for backing three or four names beyond the favorites.
