What is it with these dreadful primetime games? Just a few days after having to endure Panthers at Bears, NFL fans will be "treated" to a SNF matchup between the New York Jets and the Las Vegas Raiders.
The Jets still look lost with Zach Wilson under center and the Raiders started their rebuilding early by firing their coach a few days ago. Surprisingly, Aaron Rodgers may be coming back sooner than expected from his torn Achilles. Can the Jets stay in the race over the next few weeks?
Thank goodness we can bet on these matchups to make them more fun! Check out our best bets for Jets at Raiders! Best of luck with all of your picks on Sunday Night Football.
The Jets had their 3-game winning streak snapped on Monday night when they hosted the Chargers. In the 27-6 loss, the Jets turned the ball over 3 times, were held to 3-17 on 3rd down, and only accumulated 64 yards on the ground. The defense was up to snuff as they only allowed 191 total yards, but the short fields from the turnovers made life difficult for them.
Days after firing Josh McDaniels and announcing Antonio Pierce as interim head coach, the Raiders team looked like they were injected with youth and enthusiasm. The team responded with a big 30-6 win over the Giants.
Aidan O’Connell did a nice job in not committing a turnover and making timely passes. Josh Jacobs went for almost 100 yards on the ground and scored twice. The defense held the Giants to 277 total yards and forced 2 turnovers.
The momentum from last week should carry over a bit in the Raiders locker room and the fact that they did not travel from last week to this week is a bonus. Maxx Crosby and the defensive front is going to cause havoc for Zach Wilson and the Jets offense.
If this becomes a grind it out type of game, which is what is expected, we like Josh Jacobs and the short passing attack of the Raiders to get the job done here. We'll take the small number with the home team in primetime!
