This week, we look to push that profit margin even higher with these “four sure” NFL TD prop bets you should make during the NFL’s Week 5 contests. Bettors who try to parlay some of these picks can secure +1753 odds, meaning a $10 bet will yield a tidy sum of $185.38.
Cincinnati Bengals RB Joe Mixon (-125)
While Cincinnati’s offense has been dreadful to start the 2023 season, Bengals RB Joe Mixon is not to blame. The veteran has averaged 4.2 yards per run and gained over 300 yards in total offense.
Taking on Arizona should cure the ailments Cincinnati – and in particular Joe Mixon – have faced this year. The Cardinals are the league’s worst team against offensive backs.
Arizona yields on average a TD through the air AND on the ground each game to RBs. Expect Mixon to take advantage of the porous defense and score at least his second TD this year.
Los Angeles Rams WR Puka Nacua (+130)
Although Cooper Kupp is on the mend, don’t expect Los Angeles to turn away from its rookie sensation Puka Nacua anytime soon. The WR leads the Rams (and NFL) with 39 catches, 52 targets, and 501 receiving yards through the first four games.
Plus, Los Angeles will be cautious with Kupp and have limited his practice reps count in his first week back with the team. Philadelphia – this week’s opponent – has one of the league’s strongest defenses, but the Eagles are susceptible to the pass.
Philadelphia is one of six NFL teams that have surrendered 1.5 TDs per game to WRs, giving Nacua an excellent chance to find the end zone this weekend in SoFi Stadium.
Tennessee Titans WR DeAndre Hopkins (+175)
You have to go back to 2016 to find a game that DeAndre Hopkins played against the Indianapolis Colts where he did not score one (or more) TDs against the franchise.
Even with a three-year hiatus in match-ups (while Hopkins was with Arizona), the veteran WR has a streak of six straight games catching a TD against the Colts. Week 5’s contest will be the seventh consecutive game.
Tennessee QB Ryan Tannehill throws nearly 28 percent of his passes to Hopkins this season, and the Colts are yielding the second-most TDs to WRs of any team in the league. This is an incredible time for Hopkins to nab his first TD of the 2023 season.
Arizona Cardinals TE Zach Ertz (+210)
This is by far the largest odds we’ve tackled on a “four sure” bet prediction. With Kyler Murray sidelined, Cardinals TE Zach Ertz has been held without a TD since Murray’s exit back in Week 9 of the 2022 season.
This season, Ertz has continued to be a top-target for QB Josh Dobbs. Ertz is second only to Marquise Brown with 20 catches on 30 targets this season.
Despite having a large share of touches, Ertz has been limited to 136 and zero TDs. Expect that to change this weekend against Cincinnati, who has surrendered the second-most TDs to TEs in the NFL through four weeks.
