With the regular season nearly wrapped up, NFL bettors are making their final push for one last large payout. Bettors who look toward individual matchups each week will be salivating over some enticing options offered during the NFL’s Week 17 slate.
Which players should bettors expect to score in Week 17? We’ve covered our “four sure” NFL anytime TD scorers for Week 17 below.
For the 2023 season, one out of every three offensive plays for the New Orleans Saints have revolved around RB Alvin Kamara. What makes that total even more impressive is that Kamara missed the first three contests due to a suspension, meaning his share only in games played would reach beyond 40 percent.
With a RB commanding that much work, bettors should anticipate Kamara will find the endzone against Tampa Bay in Week 17. In their first matchup this year, Kamara notched 24 touches for 84 yards and no TDs in the Saints’ 26-9 loss.
Although the Buccaneers have allowed only seven scores to RBs this season, six of those TDs came in a four-game stretch in November and early December. Their softened defense against the RB position will help Kamara find the endzone this weekend to help the Saints in this important NFC South divisional matchup.
Until Monday’s 33-19 beatdown by the Baltimore Ravens, the San Francisco 49ers had scored 27 or more points six straight weeks. With an offense that is lethal both on the ground and through the air, the 49ers – owners of the second-ranked scoring offense in the NFL – are a reliable option for NFL bettors to choose each week for anytime TD scoring.
This week, savvy bettors will pick WR Brandon Aiyuk as the 49er player most likely to score. Through 14 games, Aiyuk is leading the team in receptions (65), targets (93), yards (1,203) and second in TDs (6).
After scoring in four straight games in November, Aiyuk has been held out of the endzone for three straight contests. That should come to an end this week against the Commanders as Washington has allowed the second-most TDs to receivers this year. And with WR Deebo Samuel nursing a neck injury, expect the 49ers to target Aiyuk in the endzone in Week 17.
Baltimore rookie WR Zay Flowers has burst onto the scene in 2023. With TE Mark Andrews out for the year, Flowers has recorded a team-best 105 targets, 74 receptions and 752 yards. Most of his damage has come after Andrews was shelved, notching 22 touches, 201 yards and three of his four TDs in his past four games.
Expect Flowers to continue that scoring spree this week against the Miami Dolphins. The Boston College product faces a defense that just gave up two scores to WRs in the last outing – a 22-20 win over Dallas. Flowers and the Ravens are rolling, and with RB Gus Edwards also injured, Flowers should account for at least one score Sunday against the Dolphins.
When your QB is your team’s leading rusher, typically that’s a bad sign for an NFL team. But despite missing four games this season with injuries, Chicago QB Justin Fields is doing just that for the Bears.
Fields leads the Bears in rushing attempts (105), rushing yards (585), and rushing TDs (4). Those stats are in addition to leading Chicago with 2,146 passing yards and 15 passing TDs in 11 games.
This week’s matchup favors Fields. Atlanta has yielded the second-most rushing scores to QBs on the year, allowing five total rushing TDs to opponents. With Chicago miraculously still in contention for a playoffs spot, expect Fields to score at least one rushing TD Sunday against the Falcons to cover this player prop bet.
