Falcons at Eagles Odds, News, and Best Bet for Monday Night Football

Week 2 of the NFL season ends with a battle of the bids, as the Falcons head north to take on the Eagles. Will Kirk Cousins look better after a dreadful Week 1 performance? Will the Eagles offense continue its torrid pace?

We've got the live odds, breaking news, and a best bet for your wagering pleasures right here. Enjoy the game and best of luck with all of your plays.

Who Wins the Dirty Bird Bowl?

The Atlanta Falcons struggled offensively in their season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Having prepared for Russell Wilson, it was announced later in the week that Justin Fields would be the starter. Not that that should be an excuse, but it is understandable that they would struggle a bit in their game plan.

However, that did not affect the offense, which was atrocious and finished with just 226 total yards. They turned the ball over 3 times and went just 2/9 on 3rd down.

Bijan Robinson was used effectively but he accounted for 111 of the team’s 226 total yards. Someone else will need to emerge and be another key to this offense for them to successful.

The Eagles are coming off a hard-fought battle against the Green Bay Packers in Brazil. Newly acquired Saquon Barkley looked phenomenal in his 1st game in an Eagles uniform. He finished with 132 total yards and 3 touchdowns.

The Eagles needed every one of his scores as they did not do much outside of him except for an AJ Brown catch and run that resulted in a 67-yard touchdown. Jalen Hurts looked extremely shaky, and they were lucky to come out on top despite losing the turnover battle 3-1.

Best Bet: Atlanta Falcons +5.5

AJ Brown popped up late on Friday on the injury report with a hamstring issue. That could play a huge factor in this game. If he is limited, the Falcons defense can key on Barkley more and make Hurts beat them with lesser weapons.

Cousins should have a better game than last week. In his career against the Eagles, he is averaging over 300 yards and 2.5 touchdowns per game while completing an average of over 66% of his passes.

We do not think this Eagles team has it all figured out yet and until they do, Jalen Hurts is going to be a liability. The Eagles may win this one, but we do not think they will be able to cover the number here.
