DK Metcalf and the Steelers passing attack are trending in the right direction at exactly the right time. Aaron Rodgers just turned in his best game as a Steeler in Week 3, completing 19-of-34 passes for 292 yards and three touchdowns in a 30-27 win over Cincinnati, and Metcalf was right in the middle of it. He caught a six-yard touchdown pass from Rodgers in the third quarter that put Pittsburgh ahead for good, and he also connected on a 14-yard grab that helped extend a crucial late drive.
The current line has Metcalf’s receiving yards prop sitting in the low-40s range, but even setting that aside, clearing 37.5 yards is a low bar for a receiver who’s the clear No. 1 option in an offense that just posted a season-high 411 total yards. It doesn’t take a huge night — three or four solid catches gets it done, and Rodgers has shown he’s willing to go to Metcalf in the biggest moments of the game.
Cleveland’s defense has been competitive early, but a short week for both sides tends to favor continuity, and nobody in this game has more established chemistry with his quarterback right now than Metcalf does with Rodgers.
Denzel Boston Is the Browns’ Breakout Weapon
If you haven’t been paying attention to Denzel Boston, now’s the time to start. The rookie has been one of the most productive under-the-radar receivers in football through three weeks, hauling in nine catches for 195 receiving yards and two touchdowns for Cleveland. That’s a 65-yard-per-game average, and it puts him firmly on Deshaun Watson’s radar as a go-to target in a rivalry spot with the lights on.
Boston’s receptions total is also worth watching — his line sits around 2.5 catches, and given how involved he’s been in the Cleveland game plan, that number feels just as beatable as the yardage prop. He’s emerged as a legitimate weapon in an offense that needs all the juice it can get against a divisional opponent that knows this team well.
With a short week limiting scheme installs on both sides, expect Cleveland to keep leaning on what’s already working — and what’s working is getting the ball to Boston early and often.
Jaylen Warren Is an Every-Down Workhorse Right Now
This is the pick with the clearest, most obvious trend line on the entire board. Jaylen Warren has been an absolute workhorse for Pittsburgh with Rico Dowdle (toe) sidelined, and all signs point to that continuing on Thursday night. In Week 3 alone, Warren rushed 17 times for 127 yards and added three catches for 49 more, totaling 176 yards from scrimmage on just 20 touches — a career high. He played 53 of the Steelers’ 59 offensive snaps at running back that day, a 90% snap share.
On the season, Warren has 216 rushing yards on 38 carries (5.7 yards per carry, third-best among qualified running backs in the NFL) plus 110 receiving yards on 10 catches. That’s 326 yards from scrimmage through three games, and with Dowdle unable to practice at all this week on the short turnaround, Warren is locked in as the clear lead back once again.
A combo prop asking for 95.5 combined rush and receiving yards is very much in play for a back who just posted 176 in a single game and has cleared that combined number in each of the last two weeks.
