Happy Thursday, all! The NFL schedule-makers must have known something we didn’t, but tonight’s clash between the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders could be one of the best Thursday Night Football games of the year.
These teams have very similar records at the moment, and whichever team wins will set the tone for the NFC East race in the back half of the season. Can Jayden Daniels and the red-hot Commanders pull out a win? Or will the tried-and-true Eagles squad use their veteran presence to win, stopping Washington in their tracks?
We’ll soon see. As we look forward to watching this hopefully exciting game go down, we’ve put together our favorite player props, making the contest much more enjoyable to watch. We’ve been on a great run with TNF props lately, so let’s keep our good fortune moving!
Player | Prop | Price |
---|---|---|
Jalen Hurts | Over 201.5 Pass Yards | |
Jalen Hurts | Under 211.5 Pass Yards |
The over on this prop feels like a no-brainer for us tonight. We believe this is going to be a back-and-forth battle between Jayden Daniels and Jalen Hurts, a game that could see 50+ combined points.
Both quarterbacks will have to be on their A-game to take down the opposing team, which should equate to a lot of passing yards for both players. Hurts has torched the Commanders throughout his career, averaging 247.9 passing yards per game against them. With that in mind, combined with our prediction of the game’s total, look for Hurts to crush this total with ease.
The Commanders might fall behind on the scoreboard at a few points during this game, naturally causing Daniels to throw more, which is our first inkling to take the under on his rushing yards.
Quarterbacks have not had great fortune against the Eagles this year as it relates to the ground game, as just two quarterbacks have eclipsed the 46-yard mark against them. Considering Lamar Jackson’s 40-yard performance a few weeks ago, we’re shying away from Daniels’ total here, taking the under in this spot.
While we don’t project Daniels to have much luck on the ground, we are relatively confident in his ability to get the ball to his top target, Terry McLaurin. McLaurin is having a resurgence this season, and having Daniels as his QB has done wonders for his career.
With that in mind, we love his chances of having a big game against the Eagles, doing everything he can to keep the Eagles at bay. We would take the over on a line of 6.5 receptions, so 4.5 is an easy yes for us!
