Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! This holiday season, we’re thankful for many things, especially the NFL’s decision to have not one, but two games on Christmas day!
As you’re unwrapping gifts and recovering from a food coma on Christmas day, you’ll also be able to watch some highly anticipated games, starting Week 17 with some fantastic matchups.
We’re going to break down our favorite player props from these matchups, starting with the battle between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Let’s get into it!
Player | Prop | Price |
---|---|---|
Xavier Worthy | Over 48.5 Reception Yards | |
Xavier Worthy | Under 49.5 Reception Yards |
The Chiefs needed a bonafide WR1 when Rashee Rice was ruled out for the season due to injury. A few players have tried to step up in his absence, but it seems that Patrick Mahomes is trying harder and harder to get Xavier Worthy involved as much as possible in this offense.
Worthy was the Chiefs’ first-round pick for a reason, and he’s starting to come into his own as a safe option. He’s had 46+ yards in the Chiefs’ last two games, a trend we expect to continue against the Steelers this week.
Worthy sometimes only needs one or two big catches to gain this many yards, which we’re confident he can achieve on Christmas.
Player | Prop | Price |
---|---|---|
Isiah Pacheco | Over 8.5 Rush Attempts | |
Isiah Pacheco | Under 8.5 Rush Attempts |
The Chiefs’ running game wasn’t the same without Isiah Pacheco in the fold. Yes, players like Carson Steele and Kareem Hunt held it down when he was out, but Pacheco adds a new dimension to this team.
His angry running style has resulted in some highlight plays, and when the Chiefs need a big pickup or a first down, Pacheco is who they like to turn to.
In a must-win game against the Steelers, look for Pacheco to run the ball to take the pressure off of Patrick Mahomes, rushing the ball at least 11 times.
This line feels a little low for Russell Wilson against the Chiefs. Wilson hasn’t been the dynamic, big-play quarterback to the degree that Steelers fans might want him to be, but he’s done enough to keep the Steelers alive in the hunt for an AFC North title.
He could have his hands full in this one, as the Chiefs’ offense is starting to come alive and play better than they did in the first half of the year.
If Wilson finds himself in a negative game script from the jump, he should throw the ball a lot, resulting in at least 222 passing yards to try and keep the Steelers in this one.
