Happy Monday, all! We hope you had a great weekend tuning into all of the NFL action, it was certainly a Sunday to remember. There is still one more game to take place for Week 9, tonight’s Monday Night Football contest between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Chiefs are still undefeated heading into this game, and they’ll look to improve upon that record against a banged-up Buccaneers squad. This should be a great game to tune in to, so let’s make it a bit more interesting by diving into our favorite player props that are provided by Underdog!
Player | Prop | Price |
---|---|---|
Patrick Mahomes | Over 240.5 Pass Yards | |
Patrick Mahomes | Under 246.5 Pass Yards |
Patrick Mahomes hasn’t looked like Patrick Mahomes this season. The Chiefs might be undefeated this year, but it’s not because Mahomes is putting on a passing clinic, by any means.
Part of that has been due to an inconsistent wide receiver room due to injuries, but Mahomes needs to play much better in the second half of the season if the Chiefs want to complete the three-peat.
We’re choosing to believe that the Mahomes comeback tour will start tonight, especially against a Buccaneers defense that allows the third-most passing yards per game this season. Look for Mahomes to throw for closer to 300 yards tonight, looking like a vintage version of himself.
The Buccaneers have been decimated by injuries over the past several weeks. Mike Evans and Chris Godwin went down in the same game, leaving Baker Mayfield without many viable options in the passing attack.
While losing Godwin and Evans was frustrating, Cade Otton has emerged as a true alpha in their receiving room, taking full advantage of the extra work and opportunities. Otton has been a beast, both from a fantasy football perspective and a real-life football perspective, and we believe he’s in for another massive performance tonight.
Otton should rake in tons of targets in this game, achieving at least five receptions in the process.
We’re all over tight ends tonight because we’re very excited to take the over on Travis Kelce’s receptions. Kelce had a very quiet start to the year, a shell of himself in the Chiefs’ passing game.
With Rashee Rice out for the season, however, Kelce has been needed more than ever, and his connection with Mahomes is as strong as ever. He had 10 catches against the Las Vegas Raiders last week, and we have no reason to believe that he’ll follow that up with a dud.
With that in mind, we’ll confidently take the over on Kelce’s reception line!
