Week 13 of the NFL regular season will feature two teams that are heading in opposite directions. Cincinnati's season came crumbling down after starting QB Joe Burrow was announced as out for the rest of the year with a wrist injury. On the other side, Jacksonville is sitting pretty in the AFC South with an overall record of 8-3.
The NFL player props are already up for Monday Night Football and we're ready to roll. Check out our 3 bets for Bengals at Jaguars right here. Good luck with all of your picks!
I don't dabble in the completions market very often, but this one stuck out to me so much that I had to play it. Lawrence's median number of completions this season is 23, so this line looks at least two completions too short. The former Clemson star has also completed 22 or more passes in 8 of his 11 ball games in 2023.
Lawrence has also been in great current form, as he and head coach Doug Pederson seem to be on the same page. He racked up 23 completions last week against the Texans and 24 completions in Week 11 against the Titans. Cincy's secondary also hasn't played too well all year long.
Just how bad have the Bengals been against the pass? They rank dead last in yards per pass allowed (7.6). They also rank just 26th in passing yards allowed per game. Lawrence should easily get us home with this Over!
Here's another prop that looks too good to be true. Pederson loves to find creative ways to get Etienne the football. Etienne's median number of targets per game is 5, which is probably why he's gone over this receptions total in 9 of 11 games this season.
Surprisingly, Jacksonville doesn't run the ball too well as they rank 30th in yards per rush. However, as we mentioned above, Pederson uses the screen pass as an extension of the running game. It also doesn't hurt that Cincy allows the 10th most fantasy points in the league to running backs.
Logan Wilson is also listed as questionable for this game. He hurt his ankle against Pittsburgh, and if he can't go, Etienne should be even more wide open out in the flat. Let's ride with the Over.
We cashed a nice ticket with Engram last week against the Texans, and don't mind trying to run it back with him in Week 13. The former Ole Miss Rebel is a big body tight end with wide receiver speed. In other words, Engram will be a matchup nightmare for an already subpar Cincy secondary.
For the season, Engram has a median receptions number of 5. That points slightly to an Over, but the plus money price makes this bet even sweeter! Oh, and Engram has caught 5 passes or more in 8 of his 11 games in 2023.
To say Engram has a favorable matchup against the Bengals would be a gross understatement. Cincinnati allows 6.4 receptions per game to the tight end position. That's the 2nd most in the NFL. Let's take a flyer on another Over!
