49ers vs Seahawks: 3 Player Prop Predictions and Best Bet for January 17

By Earnest Horn Updated January 14, 2026
49ers vs Seahawks 3 Player Prop Predictions and Best Bet

For the third and final time, the San Francisco 49ers (13-5) will play the Seattle Seahawks (14-3) with a trip to the NFC Championship game on the line.

It’s the second time in three weeks that these two teams have met. San Francisco entered their previous matchup winners of seven straight games, but a 13-3 defeat kept the 49ers from hosting this matchup.

Seattle used a dominant defensive performance in their recent matchup against the 49ers to earn the No. 1 seed in the NFC. The Seahawks finished the season on their own seven-game winning streak to lock up the conference’s top spot.

Which NFC West team will advance to next week’s conference championship? We’ll cover that and provide bettors with our top three player props for this divisional round playoff game.

Live player props data coming soon for Christian McCaffrey.

San Francisco 49ers RB Christian McCaffrey OVER 47.5 Receiving Yards

The 49ers suffered a blow on Sunday when tight end George Kittle suffered a season-ending injury. San Francisco’s receiving corps was already being held together by glue and gum, and this setback is another costly loss for quarterback Brock Purdy.

With that in mind, the 49ers’ game plan will heavily feature Christian McCaffrey. It’s not surprising, as the running back finished with more than 2,100 total offensive yards this season, including 924 receiving yards off 102 receptions. Expect him to be Purdy’s top target on Saturday, finishing with at least 50 receiving yards against the Seahawks.

Live player props data coming soon for Sam Darnold.

Seattle Seahawks QB Sam Darnold UNDER 238.5 Passing Yards

For the second year, quarterback Sam Darnold has piloted a team to the top of the NFC rankings. After nearly securing the No. 1 seed last season with Minnesota, Darnold joined the Seahawks in 2025 to help Seattle finish the job and host every game throughout the NFC playoffs.

Despite throwing for 4,048 yards in the regular season, Darnold rarely was asked to win the game for his team. Instead, the veteran has finished below 240 passing yards on seven occasions, including both matchups with the 49ers. Expect a repeat performance as Seattle prefers to run the football, keeping Darnold from covering his passing prop total.

Live player props data coming soon for Brock Purdy.

San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy OVER 17.5 Rushing Yards

Against Seattle this season, Purdy has tucked the football and run for at least 17 yards in both contests. It’s an unusual feat as the quarterback had only three other games this season with that many rushing yards.

Most of those large rushing totals have come late in the season as Purdy’s options have been limited. That’s why bettors should expect he’ll take off down the field multiple times in this game, covering this player prop wager.

Best Bet: Seattle (-7)

Let’s be clear: with San Francisco’s injuries, making the playoffs was a miracle itself. The 49ers added another name to that list following their victory over Philadelphia when Kittle suffered an Achilles tear.

Bettors should expect head coach Kyle Shanahan to have a game plan to combat those injuries. Still, a week off – and a loud home environment – should be too much for the 49ers to overcome. Take Seattle to win this in convincing fashion on Saturday.
