3 Underdog Fantasy NFL Player Props for Friday, August 11

The NFL’s preseason isn’t necessarily known to produce highlights. It’s a great precursor to the regular season, but without the usual star power of a traditional game, fans can find themselves bored at times.

Last night’s games were anything but boring. We saw breakout plays from the likes of Tank Dell and Malik Cunningham, and now, we’re looking for similar plays from tonight’s games.

After going 2 for 3 last night, we’ve studied our favorite player props from tonight’s slate and are looking for a clean sweep! Without further ado, let’s get into what should be an entertaining evening of preseason football.

Kenny Pickett UNDER 62.5 Passing Yards

Let’s be real for a second. Kenny Pickett is the presumed starter for the Pittsburgh Steelers this season, as he’s taken command of this offense.

Many analysts are projecting a major glow-up for Pickett this year and have liked what they have seen from him during the offseason. With that in mind, we expect Pickett to play for a series or two, quickly being reprieved for a backup.

In the Steelers’ first preseason game, look for Pickett to soar under his passing numbers. We anticipate both teams to run the ball a lot tonight, putting a further cap on Pickett’s opportunities.

Jalin Hyatt OVER 23.5 Receiving Yards

Jalin Hyatt has been a darling for the New York Giants during training camp. Fans have been treated to several highlight videos, and it appears that he’ll be one of their top target-getters this season.

Seeing that he’ll likely be a starter for the Giants during the season, he probably won’t play for more than the first half. However, we do think he’s going to be featured in the early stages of the game and shouldn’t have a problem hitting at least 24 receiving yards.

Jordan Love UNDER 67.5 Passing Yards

As a Green Bay Packers fan, I am admittedly buying into the Jordan Love hype train. Will the Packers get blessed with a third-straight franchise quarterback? Honestly, I’m not sure, but it’s certainly fun to think about.

It’s clear that the Packers believe in Love’s ability to lead their team, at least for the next few years. With that being said, Love will likely play a series or two tonight, and then get whisked off into the sunset, protected for the regular season.

Similar to Pickett, we believe the Packers will draw up quite a few run plays tonight, giving Love limited opportunities to throw. If he goes over this total, it’ll likely be on the heels of a long, 30+ yard reception. We can’t bank on that, which is why we’re on his under tonight.
