3 NFL Player Props for Sunday, September 8

We’ve officially made it to the 2024 NFL Season! The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Baltimore Ravens in the season opener on Thursday night, a thrilling start to the year. We’ll be honest, our props didn’t go as well as planned in that one, mainly due to some unexpected players having less of an impact than anticipated.

However, we’re looking to Sunday’s slate with clear eyes, hoping to sweep the board and make up for any shortfalls from Thursday evening. We’ve put together our favorite plays from Underdog, so let’s get into it! Good luck with all of your Week 1 plays!

Josh Allen OVER 30.5 Rushing Yards

This is our favorite play of the Sunday slate BY FAR. The Buffalo Bills are taking on the Arizona Cardinals, a game that many believe will be a blowout. While that might be the case, we’re excited to take the over on Josh Allen’s rushing line, hoping he torches the Cardinals’ defense.

The Cardinals allowed a league-worst 143.2 rushing yards per game last season, and they didn’t do enough in the offseason for us to believe in them moving forward.

We need to see improvement to believe it, and until they show us otherwise, we’re taking the over on anyone’s rushing totals against them.

C.J. StroudOver 253.5 Pass Yards
C.J. StroudUnder 262.5 Pass Yards

C.J. Stroud OVER 272.5 Passing Yards

Who’s ready for the game of the weekend? That’s what we’re calling this one, anyhow. The Indianapolis Colts are taking on the red-hot Houston Texans, a team that many people believe will make it to the AFC Championship.

C.J. Stroud looked nothing short of remarkable last season, and seeing that he’s a common pick for MVP, we believe he’ll start that campaign with a bang.

Look for Stroud to take it to the Colts in what we hope will be a shootout with Anthony Richardson’s team.

Kyle Pitts OVER 6 Targets

Will the signing of Kirk Cousins finally help Kyle Pitts be a thing in the Atlanta Falcons offense? We sure hope so. Cousins targeted tight ends at a 27% rate last season, a top-five mark in the league.

He has tended to rely on the big men throughout his career, and what better person to turn to than Pitts? Pitts was the highest-drafted TE in league history, and his prospect profile is second to none.

We believe 2024 is his breakout season, and he’ll show that in this game. Give me Pitts to easily go over this number of targets!
