Sunday’s NFL slate is loaded, and the best prop bets are not always the obvious ones. We went looking for the three plays across the board that have the most going for them, and we landed on a wide receiver who treats the Chargers like a buffet, a quarterback who would rather run it in himself, and a Kansas City star whose legs are quietly back in business.
A quick note on the board: Seattle and Chicago kick off Monday night, so we skipped Jaxon Smith-Njigba and went with a Sunday star instead. Every line below is as of Friday and Saturday, so shop around before you fire, because a half-point can matter.
Puka Nacua OVER 91.5 Receiving Yards vs. the Chargers
The Rams and Chargers meet at SoFi Stadium at 1:05 PM ET, and Puka Nacua (No. 12) is the engine of the Los Angeles offense. He has 45 catches on 62 targets for 485 yards this season, and his five games this year read 74, 125, 138, 80 and 68 yards. That works out to 97.0 per game, which sits above the 91.5 posted at BetMGM (the number has bounced between roughly 89.5 and 92.5 at other books).
The role is the real story. Nacua drew 24 targets against Buffalo in Week 5 and has not seen fewer than seven in any game he has played. Even in his quietest recent outing at Las Vegas, he still turned 10 targets into 8 catches and a touchdown.
The one worry is game script. Los Angeles is roughly a 6.5-point favorite, and the Chargers have faced one of the lowest pass-attempt totals in football. But a favorite that wants to bleed the clock still funnels its first read to Nacua, and with that kind of target share, volume is the safer bet than efficiency. We will take the over and live with the variance.
Josh Allen UNDER 1.5 Passing Touchdowns vs. the Ravens
This is the plus-money play of the day. Josh Allen is having an MVP-caliber season, leading the league in yards per attempt at 8.8 with 1,504 passing yards, but the touchdowns he scores most often are the ones he carries himself. He has eight rushing touchdowns already, tops in the NFL, and only nine passing scores in six games.
The history against Baltimore backs it up. Allen has gone under this total in six of seven career meetings with the Ravens, and he has finished with fewer than two touchdown passes in three of his last four games. Buffalo is a field-goal-plus favorite at Highmark Stadium (1:00 PM ET), and when the Bills get near the goal line, Allen is the most dangerous runner on the field. Every red-zone keeper is a pass-touchdown that never happens.
The price tells you the market sees it too, with the under showing around +125 at bet365 and +105 to +115 at other shops. The total is hovering around 54.5, so points will come, but they will come on the ground just as often as through the air. Our guide to how betting odds work breaks down why a plus-money number on a 50-50 type prop is such a gift.

Patrick Mahomes OVER 13.5 Rushing Yards at Denver
The nightcap in the AFC West is Kansas City at Denver at 4:25 PM ET, and we are betting on Patrick Mahomes the scrambler. His recovered knee has not slowed him down, and the over has cashed in four of his six games this season. He has 71 rushing yards on 19 carries so far, and his career average of 21.8 yards per game (playoffs included) is well above this number. He has also rushed for at least 14 yards in 95 of 153 career games.
The matchup is the kicker. Denver has allowed the seventh-most rushing yards to opposing quarterbacks, and five different QBs have scrambled for 15-plus yards against the Broncos in their seven games. The Broncos also lead the league in pass-rush grade, which means Mahomes will be moved off his spot early and often. He has averaged 5.75 yards per scramble this year, so three or four of them gets this home.
With the Chiefs’ passing game stalling lately, Kansas City needs Mahomes to extend plays. A bet365 price of -115 is fair, and some books are offering alternate lines near 14.5 if you want a bigger payout. Sunday’s Edge: Lock These In
One wideout who gets fed, one quarterback who steals his own touchdowns, and one superstar scrambling against a defense that cannot corral him. That is a sneaky-good card for the early window and the late afternoon. Here are the three bets, with odds as of Saturday, so confirm them at your book before you hit submit.
- Puka Nacua OVER 91.5 receiving yards (check your book)
- Josh Allen UNDER 1.5 passing touchdowns (+125 at bet365)
- Patrick Mahomes OVER 13.5 rushing yards (-115 at bet365)
