3 NFL Best Bets and Player Props to Back This Sunday

Bijan Robinson, Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Christian Watson headline our three best NFL player props for Sunday, with stats, matchups and lines for every window.

Sunday’s NFL slate is the sports-bar buffet of the season: a 1 p.m. early window, a 4:25 p.m. late-afternoon course, and Sunday Night Football as the main event. We combed the full board for the three player props that have the best mix of volume, matchup and plain old fun, and we landed on a running back, a Sunday-night target hog and a deep-ball threat who has been torching secondaries.

These three plays cover three different game environments, so you are not stuck rooting for one script to carry the whole day. Grab your wings, pick your couch spot and check the numbers at your book before you lock anything in, because lines move between now and kickoff.

Bijan Robinson Over 88.5 Rushing Yards

The Atlanta Falcons host the undefeated San Francisco 49ers at 1 p.m. ET, and the number on Bijan Robinson’s rushing yards sits around 88.5 (-114 either way) at most books, with some shops a point or two lower. Robinson has 641 rushing yards on 111 carries through six games, a 106.8-yard-per-game pace and 5.8 yards per attempt. He ran 29 times for 194 yards and two touchdowns against Green Bay in Week 3, and he piled up 425 rushing yards over a three-game stretch before last week.

Last week is the reason this line is a bargain. Against Chicago he carried only nine times for 61 yards, his lowest workload of the season, because Atlanta fell behind 21-7 by halftime and abandoned the run. He still averaged 6.8 yards a carry. The matchup is tougher on paper, but San Francisco has held outside-zone runs to 3.2 yards per carry and Robinson has 10 explosive runs on 65 outside-zone carries, tied with Derrick Henry for the most in the league. Backup Brian Robinson Jr. was downgraded to a non-participant with a hamstring issue, which points to even more work for Bijan. With the spread hovering around a field goal, Atlanta should stay close enough to keep feeding its best player.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba Over 92.5 Receiving Yards

Sunday Night Football brings Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs to Seattle, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba is the headliner. Through six games he has 49 catches on 66 targets for 717 yards and seven touchdowns, an average of 119.5 receiving yards per game. He owns five 100-yard efforts already, and he has only missed this exact line once, a 76-yard outing against the Chargers in Week 4.

Last Thursday against Denver he caught 12 of 16 targets for 134 yards in a 17-14 overtime loss, and he went for 102 and a touchdown against these same 49ers a week earlier. He commands 34.8 percent of Seattle’s targets and 47.3 percent of the team’s air yards, which is the kind of dominance that props love. Sam Darnold has leaned on him hard when the rest of the offense sputters, and the Seahawks are 2.5-point home favorites in a game with a total around 42.5. A line at 92.5 for a player averaging nearly 120 is the sort of gift you take with a smile, and JSN is also the betting favorite for Week 7’s top receiving yardage total.

Christian Watson Over 76.5 Receiving Yards

The Green Bay Packers visit Detroit for the 4:25 p.m. ET window, and this one has shootout written all over it. Watson is fifth in the league with 538 receiving yards on 29 catches, six touchdowns and roughly 18.5 yards per reception, which works out to 89.7 yards per game. He is not on the final injury report after dealing with an ankle issue, and head coach Matt LaFleur said he had no concerns.

The matchup is the best part. Detroit has been one of the most generous pass defenses in football this season, and the Packers lead the NFL with eight completions of 40-plus yards. Watson had six catches for 143 yards and two touchdowns in the win over Chicago, then drew Joey Porter Jr. for much of last week’s game and still managed 64 yards on three catches. Teammate Matthew Golden is right behind him at 501 yards, so Detroit cannot double both. A line at 76.5 asks Watson to finish roughly 13 yards below his season average in a game with a big total, and the books are pricing him like a team that forgot about his speed.
