3 Best Props to Back for Cowboys vs Eagles on Monday Night Football

Cowboys-Eagles on Monday Night Football is full of prop chaos. We break down George Pickens, Dallas Goedert and a long-shot Jake Ferguson touchdown.

George Pickens of the Dallas Cowboys making a leaping catch at Lincoln Financial Field

Monday Night Football in Philadelphia has all the ingredients of a prime-time fever dream. The Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles are both sitting at 2-4, Jalen Hurts is on injured reserve, and Tanner McKee is under center for a home team that just lost DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks to injuries. Dallas is a 4.5-point road favorite with a total of 44.5, and kickoff at Lincoln Financial Field is set for 8:15 PM ET on ESPN and ABC.

Chaos makes for great prop betting, so we skipped the chalk and went hunting across both sidelines. Our best-of-the-board card has a Cowboys receiver who keeps getting peppered with targets, an Eagles tight end whose number looks a little too tall, and a long-shot touchdown ticket with a nice payout. Lines move, so shop around before you lock anything in.

George Pickens Keeps Getting the Ball Whether You Like It or Not

Pickens has quietly been the engine of Dallas’ passing game, even while the team around him stumbles. He is sitting on 33 catches for 428 yards through six games, and he went for 73 yards on six catches in last week’s loss to the Packers. Two weeks earlier, he erupted for 130 yards and a touchdown on nine catches. Even in his quietest outing of the year, a 40-yard day on September 20, he was still seeing real volume.

The matchup is where this gets spicy. Philadelphia just ruled out Smith and Wicks, which means the Eagles offense is about to lean on a rookie wideout and a tight end. That probably translates to more points for Dallas coming off Philly turnovers and short fields, but it also puts the Eagles in chase mode if they fall behind. The Cowboys are a 4.5-point favorite, so a game script where Dak Prescott keeps throwing to his best receiver is easy to picture. Prescott has topped 250 passing yards five games in a row, and Pickens is the primary beneficiary.

The prop posted at 62.5 receiving yards at some books, though it has been bumped as high as 64.5 elsewhere. Pickens also has a shoulder issue, but he practiced fully on Friday and said he will play. The weather is a non-factor, with clear skies, light wind and temperatures in the 50s at kickoff. Take the over and enjoy the ride, but grab the 62.5 if you can find it.

Dallas Goedert Under Is the Contrarian Play of the Night

We will be honest here: this is the pick that makes your group chat nervous. With Smith and Wicks out, Goedert is suddenly the most trusted pass catcher on the Eagles, and the number reflects it. His receiving yards prop was posted at 48.5 as of Sunday morning at several books, even as other shops are hanging 39.5 or lower. That spread across the market is a signal worth paying attention to.

Here is the case for the under. Goedert has 17 catches for 180 yards on the season, which works out to 45 yards a game, and he went for 61 yards on six catches against Carolina last week. That makes the 48.5 mark a number he has to beat with a backup quarterback throwing him the ball, and McKee managed just 215 yards on 26-of-45 passing last week. Goedert is also working through a knee issue he aggravated against the Panthers. He was a full participant on Saturday and carries no injury designation, but a tight end playing through a tweaked knee is not exactly a recipe for a 90-yard night.

The other piece is shape of the game. Dallas has been generous through the air, but the Cowboys are favored, and the books clearly expect Philadelphia to chase. That could funnel work to Goedert, which is why this is a lower-confidence pick than the other two. If you want to be safer, shop for the highest number you can find, since 50.5 is hanging at a couple of books, and treat this as a small play.

Jake Ferguson Anytime Touchdown at Long Odds Is the Fun One

Every card needs a lottery ticket, and Jake Ferguson is ours. The Cowboys tight end has been miserable as a yardage producer, with just 115 yards on 17 catches through six games and 23 or fewer yards in five of those six contests. Last week he caught two passes for 13 yards. Yet he already has three touchdowns on the year, tied for fifth among tight ends, and that is exactly why the price is interesting.

The market is hanging Ferguson anytime touchdown at plus-money, with prices ranging from about +260 to +290 depending on the book. For a player who has found the end zone in three of six games, that is a payout worth swinging at. He has not scored since Week 3, so he is arguably due, and his role near the goal line is the one piece of his game that has stayed intact. If Dallas sits at the five-yard line against a defense missing bodies, Prescott knows where his trusted veteran is.

The honest warning: this is a pure touchdown bet, not a yardage play. Ferguson’s receiving yards under has been cashing at a huge clip, and we would not touch his over. But at nearly 3-to-1, one touchdown pays for a lot of misses. If you like stacking your ticket, our same game parlays guide walks through how to combine legs without getting greedy.

Our Monday Night Card

Here is where we landed, with a mix of a volume play, a contrarian fade and a long-shot touchdown. Remember to compare numbers across books, because the gap on Goedert in particular is wide, and check the latest injury news before kickoff. You can browse more lines with the player prop search tool.

  • George Pickens OVER 62.5 receiving yards
  • Dallas Goedert UNDER 48.5 receiving yards
  • Jake Ferguson anytime touchdown (+290)

Two bets lean on the Cowboys passing game staying healthy and busy, while the Goedert under is the spicy fade against a market that is clearly leaning into the Eagles tight end. If you want a refresher on how prices are built, our how betting odds work primer covers it. Good luck, and enjoy the circus.
