3 Best-of-the-Board Props to Back for Buccaneers vs Cowboys on Thursday Night Football

CeeDee Lamb’s anytime TD, Jalon Daniels’ rushing over, and an Emeka Egbuka fade headline our three favorite player props for Bucs-Cowboys TNF.

CeeDee Lamb catches a touchdown for the Dallas Cowboys against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Thursday Night Football rolls into AT&T Stadium with one of the more lopsided lines of the season, and that’s exactly why it’s a gold mine for player props. Dallas is sitting at -9.5 (-550 on the moneyline) at home against a Tampa Bay team that’s 0-4 and down to its third different starting quarterback situation in five weeks. The total has settled in the 47.5-48 range, which tells you Vegas expects this one to get a little ugly in the best way for prop bettors.

When a game script is this predictable, the smart move isn’t fading the favorite — it’s finding the individual numbers hiding inside the blowout. We dug through the board and came away with three bets we’re genuinely excited about: a superstar receiver in a mismatch, a scrambling rookie quarterback nobody’s fully priced in yet, and a classic game-script fade. Here’s the breakdown.

CeeDee Lamb Cashes In Again on Anytime TD

CeeDee Lamb just put together one of the signature performances of his career, going off for 17 catches, 189 yards, and the game-winning touchdown in Dallas’s wild 34-30 win over Houston. That’s not a one-off — Lamb has scored in three of Dallas’s four games this season and is averaging a ridiculous 124.5 receiving yards per contest on a 30.5% target share. He’s the engine of this offense, full stop.

Now layer in the matchup. Tampa Bay is set to be without All-Pro safety Antoine Winfield Jr., who’s dealing with a rib fracture that’s expected to keep him out 2-4 weeks. Winfield is the Bucs’ best coverage piece over the middle of the field, and without him, Tampa Bay’s secondary loses its eraser. Lamb lives in exactly that space — slants, seam routes, and red-zone looks over the middle — and this is the week the hole in Tampa Bay’s defense opens up widest. At -105 (roughly 51.3% implied), this is one of the cleaner anytime TD bets you’ll find on the board this week.

Jalon Daniels Keeps Running Wild on the Ground

This is the prop that feels undervalued. With Baker Mayfield sidelined by a dislocated/thumb injury, undrafted rookie Jalon Daniels is making just his second career start, and in his first one last week against Green Bay, he didn’t just hold his own — he set the Buccaneers’ all-time rookie quarterback rushing record with 55 yards on eight carries, breaking a mark that had stood since 1976.

The rushing yards line has actually moved up to 44.5 this week, acknowledging what Daniels showed last week, but it still might not be high enough. Tampa Bay is a massive road underdog that’s going to need every explosive play it can scrape together against a far more talented Dallas roster, and designed quarterback movement — bootlegs, scrambles, read-option looks — is a core piece of how this coaching staff is trying to manufacture offense with a rookie under center. Daniels showed last week he’s not afraid to tuck it and go. We like the over on 44.5 rushing yards here.

Emeka Egbuka Fades Into the Background

Not every prop on a short week is about chasing a big number — sometimes the best bet is recognizing when a game script is going to strangle a player’s volume. Emeka Egbuka has hit the under on his receptions prop in 11 of his last 16 games, and this matchup sets up as about as unfavorable as it gets for a Tampa Bay pass-catcher not named Mike Evans.

Dallas is a 9.5-point favorite (-550 moneyline) at home on a short week, which means Tampa Bay is likely to be playing from behind for most of the second half — not exactly a recipe for a rookie quarterback airing it out 35+ times. On top of that, Egbuka is competing for targets with Chris Godwin, Cade Otton, and Rachaad White/Bucky Irving out of the backfield, which caps his ceiling even in a clean pocket. Throw in a rookie QB making just his second start on four days’ rest, and the under on 2.5 receptions (priced in the -154/+115 range depending on the book) looks like the safer side of this number.

The Bottom Line for TNF

Dallas is favored for a reason, and these three props are built around leaning into that reality rather than fighting it. Lamb exploits a banged-up secondary, Daniels exploits his own legs in a game Tampa Bay needs every scrap of offense it can find, and Egbuka’s volume gets squeezed by a lopsided score. Check the NFL odds board before kickoff since lines can shift right up to the 8:15 PM ET start.

  • CeeDee Lamb Anytime TD (-105)
  • Jalon Daniels OVER 44.5 Rushing Yards
  • Emeka Egbuka UNDER 2.5 Receptions (-154/+115)

Three very different bets, one shared theme: trust the obvious story the numbers are already telling you about this mismatch.
