The NFL is kicking off Week 1 halfway around the world, and it’s a doozy of a matchup to do it with. The San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams collide at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Thursday, September 10 at 8:35 PM ET, streaming exclusively on Netflix as the league’s first-ever regular season game in Australia. Two NFC West rivals, a jet-lagged flight for both sidelines, and a Netflix audience tuning in from every time zone — this one has intrigue written all over it.

Rather than sweat the spread, we went hunting for the best props on the board regardless of position. That means a workhorse receiver questionable but expected to suit up, a tight end with a real shot at paying off long odds, and a depth-chart wideout whose role just got a whole lot bigger. Here are three bets worth a look before kickoff.

Puka Nacua Receiving Yards Over/Under 91.5

Puka Nacua was, by any measure, one of the best receivers in football in 2025. He piled up 1,715 receiving yards, finished as the WR1 in fantasy points per game, and averaged 107.2 yards per contest — numbers that put him in a class of his own. He also led the NFL in receptions and posted a ridiculous 3.85 yards per route run, the best mark among qualified pass catchers.

The one catch heading into this one is health. Nacua has been dealing with a groin issue that kept him off to the side for portions of training camp, and he’s currently listed as questionable. Reports out of Rams camp, though, have him ramping back up and trending toward playing Week 1, with his chemistry alongside quarterback Matthew Stafford expected to pick right back up once the lights come on.

Assuming he plays anywhere close to a full workload, the matchup favors the over. San Francisco’s pass defense allowed 241.8 yards per game through the air last season, a number that puts them firmly in the bottom half of the league against the pass. A healthy Nacua operating as Stafford’s clear number one option against a defense that struggles to slow down the pass is exactly the setup bettors want to see with a line sitting at 91.5. For a refresher on how these markets work, our how betting odds work guide breaks it down.

George Kittle Anytime Touchdown at Plus Odds

George Kittle brings some of the juiciest odds on the board for this one, and the story behind them is worth knowing. Kittle tore his Achilles last season and missed extended time, but he’s since been activated off the physically unable to perform list and has been full-go in team drills. He’s currently listed as questionable, but the buzz out of the 49ers’ building is that he’s trending toward suiting up in Week 1 — though there’s a school of thought that San Francisco could ease him in given the grueling travel to Australia.

If he does play, the matchup sets up nicely. The Rams’ pass defense ranked 19th in the league last season, allowing 216.7 yards per game through the air — respectable, but far from a shutdown unit, especially over the middle of the field where Kittle does his best work. Kittle has long been one of Kyle Shanahan’s most trusted red-zone weapons, and a healthy version of him slotting back into that role against a defense that’s given up its share of yardage makes an anytime touchdown play with plus-money odds an appealing swing.

Deebo Samuel Sr. Receiving Yards Over/Under 29.5

Deebo Samuel Sr. is back in the Bay Area building, and his opportunity just increased significantly. San Francisco lost receiver Ricky Pearsall for the season to a knee injury, which pushes Samuel into a more prominent role in a receiving corps now fronted by veteran Mike Evans. Samuel knows this offense inside and out from his years running it under Shanahan, and that familiarity should help him hit the ground running even in a complementary role.

A line of 29.5 receiving yards is a modest number for a player of Samuel’s caliber, and it reflects his current spot in the pecking order behind Evans rather than any concern about his talent. With the 49ers looking to spread the ball around against a Rams defense that will have its hands full with multiple weapons, there’s a path for Samuel to clear this number even in a secondary role — particularly if San Francisco leans on quick-hitting throws to control tempo against the travel and time-zone grind.

Best Bets for 49ers-Rams on Netflix

This Thursday’s trip to Melbourne is unlike anything the NFL has done before, and the prop market gives bettors a fun way to attack it beyond just the spread and total. If you want to dig deeper before kickoff, our player prop search tool is a good place to shop lines across the board. Here’s how we’re stacking our three best bets for the historic broadcast.

  • Puka Nacua OVER 91.5 Receiving Yards
  • George Kittle Anytime TD (+135)
  • Deebo Samuel Sr. OVER 29.5 Receiving Yards

Health is the swing factor for two of these three, so keep an eye on the final injury report before locking anything in — but if the stars align and everyone suits up, this trio gives you exposure across the board for the league’s first game Down Under.
